Chapter 19: A Girl Called Bree
Bree... It's a girl. A seven years old. So it really wasn't Edward. It was one of his identities. A seven years old, that seemed to be out of her mind. Because of what seemed to her as playful and entertaining, people judged Edward and made it really hard for him to adapt to his surrounding.
She saw through Edward. I could say really well too. For all the next time I had met her, she played the role of Edward every well. I sometimes made me rethink the existence of an Edward.
I wondered how long have see been accompany Edward. She seemed to know the actually Edward very well. I confronted her.
"You know Bree, I was thinking, you seem to know Edward very well. How long have you guys been together?"
"Hmm, that's an easy question? But~ you try guessing first."
"I think you guys have known each other for a very long time."
"I'm his best friend... but this is a secret. so shhh."
"Am I the first to know?"
"No, I hope you were. You seem like a nice person. But that Enzo knows, and he can know if it's me, Edward or anybody else. I don't like him," she said every sentence and stoped for a while. She had this whiny voice to her.
She was indeed a seven year old. She spoke like a seven years old . She acted like a seven year old. She was sharp, and her red ruby eyes were still shining. At that time, I wondered if I will speak to her again, but that was not really a concern, because sometime after that - and many times later - I met her...
I felt like my talk with her from there was enough. I decided to stand up and leave. Both Edward and Bree seemed to had calmed down. I knew it for a fact.
I told Bree I was leaving... and once I was by the door she stopped me...
"You know, Asami... Thank you."
"You are most welcome Edward. You too Bree."
"Can you wait for me?"
"I'll always be waiting here."

That was the second time Asami smiled, and this time it was a warm sun kiss.
