Chapter 31: Red Eyes
Claridad burst into tears again, but he instantly wrap his arms around her.
Please don't cry. It breaks my heart to see you and hear you cry. I'll be with you always, you know. If only I could say everything that I wanted to say to you, or everything that I felt for you, if only, but I can't. I don't know where and how to begin..
Claridad's cry was like a torment along with her tears falling which are like knives piercing through his heart.
He cupped Clari's face. His eyes was also watery as he can sense Clari's sadness in her eyes and said "I am here, always here.." Cladidad blushed but still can't stop crying. Will you really be there? Always?But how? we're different beings.
Seikatsu leaned closer to her face and kissed her. She is so warm. I can't get enough of this. When he felt that he wanted more, he stopped and parted their lips.
They looked into each other's eyes. His eyes were red, hers was deep brown.
Because it was full moon, Seikatsu's desire for blood will also increase. For some newly breed vampires, they can't control it causing a bloodbath or some just can't get enough.
"Your eyes... They are red..." Clari exclaimed in a little bit frightened tone.
"I..." I don't know how to explain. Maybe she'll get disgusted in me.
Seikatsu was clearly holding back. So Claridad took the initiative to offer him, showing off her neck, "I know you are hungry. You've been in a fight and you helped me. Please drink my blood."
Sensing the blood flowing through her jugular vein, Seikatsu's brows knitted trying to hold back his desire along with his veins near his eyes are starting to show up.
He can't contain it anymore, but he was reminded of the thought that he does not want to hurt Clari. So he left her behind, faster than a lighting, leaving Claridad to face the burning shack, her mother's dead body and the sun that is about to rise.
