Chapter 29: The light at the end of the Tunnel (1)
A week had passed since Sofia started living and working at the King's mansion. She had gotten into a routine of waking up at 6 am. It followed by washing up, herself and Johnathan, and getting ready by 6:45 to be at the dinning table to have Breakfast with Vincent before he left for work.
After breakfast, Sofia would sit down and go over the alphabets and numbers with Johnathan as songs and games. This followed by Snacks and then full on games.
Today had marked the start of a new week meaning it was Monday again. And today Vincent was home as he had been busy with work during the weekend and it was a way to spend time with his son. This ment that Sofia was free for the day, and what better way to spend the summer than to go and relax by the pool read a book and soak in the sunrays.
At exactly 6 am, Sofia felt someone touching her face. Slowly opening her eyes she saw two beautiful green eyes. It belonged to none other than Johnathan. He was fulfilling his duties of showing love to Sofia in his own way, by waking her up with kisses, the way his dad showed love for him.
"Good morning sunshine." spoke Sofia in a soft and loving voice while breaking into a smile. This had become the highlight of the day her her this past week. She was falling in love with his innocence and whenever she had free time, she could not help but imagine her future children behaving like him and not being able to wait for that time.
Even though it was her day off, Sofia did not want to break routine so she took Johnathan back to his room and gave him a bath. His bath did not take so long only ten minutes as he was so tiny.
They were ready and at the dinning table by 6:45 am to start their day. Entering the room her eyes went straight to Vincent at the head of the table. It was the first time she was seeing him in casual clothing, normally he would be in formal suits ready for work. It was a good surprise.
"Good morning. I see he went and distributed you on your day off." Vincent was the first one to start up a conversation. "Sorry for that. I tried to stop him but .... you know how he is."
Knowing what he ment, Sofia smiled and took Johnathan to the table to eat breakfast. Arriving at their seats, "Good morning to you too. And it's ok. It was no trouble, I love his kisses too." looking down at Johnathan, she leaned over him and gave him a quick kiss on his head full of golden hair.
