Chapter 12: Suspicious Yeti Chen
After having my walk with Maj on the unrestricted parts of the compound which wasn't much because who would want a stranger map out your base? So we just went back to where Aleks and the guys were.
"Find anything?" Asked Yeti Chen.
I looked around the room first while Letting out a tune. "I'll have to go back and analyze my suspicions. I'll let send someone to inform you when I get something."
The Yeti narrowed his eyes at me. "Oh? Then we'll welcome you anytime."
Yeti Chen gave Aleks a look then to his subordinates. "Escort Sir. Chao Ren and company to another room. I need to speak a few words to Aleks."
We all stood up and was sent to a new room a few hallways away. It was a plain room with just a big table in the middle surrounded by chairs.
"There are bugs* ah." Gonor sighed dramatically.
*Bugs meaning there are surveillance cameras in the room
Ketch rolled his eyes. "Shut up. You're ruining the atmosphere."
"Well sorry your emo-ness didn't mean to disrupt the solemn and dark atmosphere." Gonor mocked.
Ketch raises his fist up ready to punch Gonor while Gonor immediately went on a defensive stance. Jace hit the table. "That's enough!"
Ketch huffs a breath then turn his attention opposite of the direction of Gonor. Gonor just laughs and sits down in one of the closes chairs beside him.
Gonor looks at me, I let out a small smile and he suddenly tenses. Ahhh Gonor tsk tsk, I can see what you're up to. Can't you just be honest instead of doing underhanded tricks on Ketch?
Gonor turned the other way ignoring me. I looked at the ceiling and recounted what happened a while ago when I was walking around the estate. Yeti Chen ah, I hope my speculations are wrong.

Half an hour later Aleks came out after the chat with that yeti the we soon headed for our base. When we arrived immediately questions me.
"So?"
I sighed. "I don't think we should have any dealings with Yeti Chen anymore."
Aleks gave me a blank look. "Why is that?"
"If you were suspicious of people what would you do?" I instead asked.
"I would probably let them stay for a little while longer while I gather evidence, make it seems like I'm not suspicious of them at all." Aleks answered.
I nodded while smiling. "But what if they were on inspection duty?"
Aleks raised one eyebrow at me. "Too dangerous, I'll probably assign him on another post. I'll do it along with different people to make it seem not too suspicious."
"One of the guys that was "groping" us was one in the suspect folder. Granted he was wearing a mask but his mole betrayed him." I smiled. "Though it isn't really all that much but what I don't understand is that why were some people who unconsciously tense their muscles when they see me? Most of them weren't even in the list. But the ones on the list look like they're guilt free." I speculated. All of these are just some minor speculation but don't underestimate them, my instincts almost never fails me. And now they're giving me a warning that something is going on with Yeti Chen.
"Also what's more interesting, why call us? It's not like we're particularly close with them. With the many connections that old fart has why contact us? He could have called upon a a group that he trusted more."
Aleks frowned. "What are you implying."
"That old man got dirt on us and I bet it's connected to the Phantom."
"Are you saying all of this is a ruse and that Yeti Chen is working with the Phantom?" Aleks muscles tensed up.
I laughed. "I do believe his grandson was kidnapped. But I think conditions were already made and we're part of those conditions."
Aleks eyes turned cold. "How much do you think Chen knows about us?"
I picked up a balloon from Aleks desk and spun it around my hands. "Well not much but the way Yeti Chen looked at me was really like a pervert."
"He looked like he wanted to eat you whole. Phantom must be using that Yeti to get closed to us." Aleks gave his own thoughts.
"I bet. So we better just stay away from Yeti Chen, that old Fox is too cunning. Better to just ignore, I would have liked to play for a while but I don't want to underestimate Phantom." I sighed. It really is a pity I'm too weak right now.
"You're mother really left a pain in the ass to clean up." Aleks grunted.
I just smiled. Ahhh Phantom, even if you kill me. You'll never get what you want.
