Chu Lei lowered her head, held his hands and said, "Stop talking about Mo Jin. Hearing about her and her family can really make me uncomfortable. Tell me about your injury. How many days do you have to stay in the hospital? Who did this to you? Have you called the police?"
"I didn't call the police," Yi Jingxi turned his face away and spoke flatly.
"Why not?" Chu Lei said, choked with emotion, "Look how badly you're injured."
Yi Jingxi didn't want to say anything.
He felt as if part of his heart was missing.
"I'm calling the police now," Chu Lei said, as he stayed silent. Chu Lei turned and walked toward the door.
"Don't," Yi Jingxi reached out a hand to try to stop her, but as soon as he moved, his wounds hurt so much that he even felt as his internal organs were falling apart. He couldn't even remain sitting, but fell back on the bed.
