Chapter 18: Magic
seeing that playful smile on Lyr face, Coulson ease up a little and wipe the sweat at his forehead, you can't blame him the enemy is a mutant a freaking mine bomb, one wrong step and your toast .
'huu' Coulson took a deep breath with a mix of relief, now that the situation is stabilize there is a chance that they can talk peacefully and seeing the other party's smiling face, prove that the other party is willing to cooperate but as a professional agent he wouldn't let his guards down easily .
"so Mister Adonis, since you admit it and as I was saying mutant is dangero----"Coulson said but was cut by the sudden words.
"Im not a mutant" Lyr said cutting Coulson sentence.
"ha?"Coulson was confuse by the words "but you admit---" Coulson did not finish his sentence when Lyr cut him again.
"I admit that I did that but not me being a mutant" Lyr explain.
"right" Coulson said with an unsure and confuse, if Lyr is not a mutant then what is he.
"then your a biochemical product like the Captain America " Coulson said with certainty like he was very sure of his answer but Lyr next word dumfounded him.
"No" Lyr deny decisively.
"then what are you?" Coulson ask absentmindedly but he greatly believe that Lyr is a mutant or his power is like that of the Captain America.
hearing Coulson ask Lyr smile and said
"Agent Coulson do you believe in magic??"
hearing this Coulson fall from his chair with a disbelief expression looking at Lyr, ' I thought it was serious, magic what magic, do you think that Im a three year old kid" Coulson said loudly in his mind.
as for Lyr seeing Coulson's disbelief face he dicided to demonstrate a bit, he extended his hand at Coulson who was still on the floor and utter a word "up"
when Coulson see Lyr gesture that's when he notice that he was still on the floor, he was just about to stand up when an strange force holds him and lifted him up and gently put him back in the chair.
seeing this Coulson's mouth hang open and with a silly expression, ' how did he do that,the file state that his mutated ability is fire but what is this, the file is wrong Lyr has two abilities not one' Coulson said in his mind even though he was in daze for the trick that Lyr show he still believe that Lyr is a mutant.
as for Lyr seeing Coulson's still unbelieving expression dicided to show a stringer spell, what Lyr showed is a Level-4 levitation spell, a very useful spell as he can really fly but the only downside is its not fast enough when it comes to flying, the only thing that makes it more useful is it can carry another person not like the level-6 Spell Flight that can only be used by the caster but was much faster and agile than the levitation spell.
since Coulson still did not believe he wave his hands again and to Coulson's surprise there was a strange black gate appear at the side of Lyr and so much to his surprise again there was something or specifically someone comes out of that gate,
when Coulson saw the one that appears his eyes open as wide as an egg and his mouth hang like that of saucer, the something-someone who appeared out of the gate is a squad of people wearing identical black like swat suit and all seemingly unconcious it is unknown weather they were dead or alive, what greatly surprise Coulson is that he clearly recognize this squad of people, it was the squad of elite SHIELD agents that he brought with him here.
"what the hell!!!!" after recovering from his shock,Coulson shouted in a girly way from the top of his lungs.
"can you just please shut up, your breaking my ear for screaming like a girl" Lyr reprimand him while tending his slightly hurt ears.
hearing his voice Coulson immediately stood up, pull the hoilster of his gun and shoot at Lyr without hesitation.
seeing that Coulson shot he was not panicking at all,
'worthy of being a professional agent, can act immediately in this kind of situation but sadly Im the one you were facing' Lyr thought.
the bullets was just inches away from his face so he whisper "barrier".
in Coulson eyes the bullets that should hit Lyr's forehead accurately was seemingly hit an invisible wall and bounce somewhere.
Lyr wave his hand at Coulson and said 'Lock' and Coulson stop like a statue in his place.
"hey man can you just cool off a little" Lyr said looking at Coulson.
"cool off, you just killed my person" Coulson shouted, even though Coulson currently unable to move he still can talk and seems like the strange force only bind him not took his ability to speak.
"what kill are you talking about, well you just observe them carefully, your acting in an unprofessional way you know" Lyr said while pointing at the group of people.
when Lyr point that out, Coulson laid his eyes at the people, when he saw that they were still breathing he quickly regain his bearing "what do you want?" said Coulson in a guarded way
"hey, I should ask you the same thing, how come there were a group of people who was stalking at my backyard"Lyr sneer but suddenly he smile.
"Now Agent Coulson Im gonna ask you again, do you believe in magic"Lyr ask Coulson the question again, for the current Lyr he didn't need to hide anymore, his not like the ancient one who was being low-key and hide away from people's eyes.
Now that the plot was about to start he should also make his debut....
