"Is it true? About your grandparents?", Jiang Qiyang demanded, his tone impatient, "The thing about the accident. Was it really a cover-up?"

Xi Fang did not say anything. He simply exhaled a deep breath, rubbing the back of his neck. He did not know how to respond to the man's question, for he was not sure what was agitating him the most. The fact that he'd hidden it from the Jiangs; or that he believed for the Xi family elders to be the culprit behind the untimely and unfortunate incident. 

Besides, he hadn't slept for hours, constantly following behind his brother. His head was aching. His feet too. Not to mention, the sight of his grandparents' death, and of his brother's anguished state back then; was breaking him, piece by piece. Was this what the Xi family was destined for, he wondered. The endless loop of doom.
