Chapter 10: 3 Years
A handsome young man stood in front of a blue force field with his hand rubbing his chin. His eyes were closed and the light wind made his hair sway in the air making an elegant scene. The only thing off was that he has no clothes on.
"Fuck!" the young man starts pounding the light blue force field. Every punch produces a sonic boom that leaves a dent on the ground.
After hundreds of punches and kicks, the young man gave up with an unwilling look on his face.
"System, I give up. Just do your mojo and get me out of here." the handsome young man said with some depression.
This young man is Julius.
It has been 3 years since he first started absorbing the mysterious white light.
For the first year, it was him feeling the pain of having every molecule in his body erased and reassembled. He didn't expect it to take so freaking long, but it did teach him something very important.
After the first year, the amount of mysterious energy was less than half of what it used to be. So he decided to continue absorbing the energy until he reached the very peak of the 15th stage.
Julius realized why it was so rear to find cultivators who went past the 10th stage. Not only was the process extremely difficult it also took massive amounts of energy. After using the mysterious energy to have consecutive breakthroughs, only a small amount was left. If he hadn't encountered this mysterious energy crater, it would've taken him years to accumulate the energy it would take to break through.
Considering the enormous boost in battle power received from each breakthrough it was really worth the effort.
For the next half a year Julius decided to form a core. Forming the core is an easy process, he just has to direct all the qi in his body into the dantian. Then condense it into a sphere shaped core. It sounds easy but there is a slight problem. Due to his energy being tainted by sword qi, he had to an extra step of filtering.
In the end, he ended up with two cores, one being pure qi and another with pure sword qi. As for how that happened he wasn't sure nor did the all-knowing system.
After the big breakthrough, he converted what was left into system points. To his surprise, it gave him 100000 points, which is a lot of wealth for him.
Just as Julius decided to go back to society, a huge barrier blocked him. This leads him to his present predicament.

"Nooooo! My wealth!" Julius felt his heart bleed.
The barrier in front him started warping and a small hole appears on its surface. Julius quickly went through the hole and a fresh smell of life assaulted his nose. "Oh. How I've missed this smell."
The scene in front of him is vibrant with colors and life, unlike the barren land he was in before. Consider he's been tortured both physically and mentally, everything colorful seemed nice.
Boom!
A blast from afar woke Julius from his daydream. He looked up and almost screamed from whatS above him.
Five people floating above him in a circle, staring down at him. Before he could take a good look at them, an aura pressed down on him. ' Shit!' The aura from these five people made Julius feel like a small raft in a storm.
Julius tried his best to stay on his feet but the aura kept increasing until his legs started to give out.
Thud! Julius' knees hit the ground. The sudden attack made Julius shocked and angry at the same time. 'why can't I just enjoy peace?!'
"Who are you?" one of the men finally spoke.
Julius tried to speak but the pressure didn't even allow him to open his mouth let alone talk.
Ahem.
"Go on" as if realizing his mistake, the voice spoke again. This time pressure on Julius lessens by a lot, allowing him some mobility.
Just as Julius was about to speak a familiar sound ranged in his head.
