Chapter 3: The Past
Looking at the girl smiling at him at a distance filled his heart with warmth. She was his first girl bestfriend and she was also the reason why he was always in a good mood. Although she alreaady had a boyfriend their relationship was also close to being one.
To clarify things their relationship was only similar to how one would treat his bestfriend and the two of them had agreed not to fall inlove with each other to maintain their relationship as friends.
Kristian agreed to her request because no matter how close they are, she will never be interested to a shut in like him. Just like what his friends call him, he was the most passive boy in class or even in the whole campus. There was a lot of girls confessing their feelings at him but he remained indifferent at their confessions.
He was like a piece of wood, he always remained low key at school and don't want that much attention but sadly he was bond to shine. Even though he cannot be considered as an extremely handsome boy, nonetheless his face was still above average paired with his likeable personality who is caring and kind to others no matter who they are. A lot of girls confessed at him but was all politely rejected.
He was not always like this, he was once also an enthusiastic youth and he also had a girlfriend. Her name was Jo Ann Arranguez and she was his first love.
It all started way back at his elementary days, when he was supposed to be a kindergarten student but ended up going to the grade 1 class. He was able to catch up to the lessons so the teacher made an exemption and allowed him to continue on studying as a grade 1 student.
That was where he first saw her, a gentle and kind girl was his first impression of her at that time because he was still very young to think about love by that time. He graduated as fifth in class which make it a great achievement for him and made his parents proud.
At grade 2 he was placed in the third place and his feelings for her started to develop. Grade 3 he was placed second in the class and the two of them were a tie and his feelings for her had already developed to a stage that can be called puppy love.
Feeling very inspired he started to study very hard and at grade 4, 5 ,and 6 he was first in place firmly holding to his position. At that time he has also considered that he was already in love her but just cannot confess to her at that time.
What can he say when he was only 12 years old, although he can already be in a relationship, he didn't even know if she can be into one or would she even accept him.
And with their graduation in middle school, they will be going to different schools, Kristian didn't have the courage to ask her where she is going. So he can only regret his self for being such a coward.
At the first day of high school, he was surprised to see her familiar silhouette, when he was far he was not sure, but when he was near her, Kristian was finally sure that it was her, the one whom he had fallen for.
The first half of the class was not interesting for Kristian since he was not able to flirt with her because of her new girl friends that are always surrounding her, praising her for her intelligence and how they often say that she was a "Black Beauty" which he totally agreed upon with.
No one in class seems to be very close with him aside from the known trio of Kim Johsmar Ducay, Holy Andrie Mansueto, and Jethro Benedict Ducay. The four of them together are known as the "Four Pro".
The reason for their title is that the four of them loves to play games and they will always be together when they play. Because of the influence of Jethro and the others, Kristian had also started to play games.
But even though he was playing games often, his grades seems to have not fallen to the lowest as he had always maintained a good score in every test by having only 3-7 mistakes per test. And he was always been positioned as the top 3 in the class despite being the youngest of them all.
When graduation was nearing, Kristian's love life is getting threaten as one of his classmates, Japeth Prime Jarina, a perfect example of a mathematician was courting Jo Ann. This piece of news brought Kristian's world into chaos, he was unable to process what was happening at the moment until one of his classmates confirmed that it was the truth.
Later on that week, he had coincidentally got Jo Ann's number and the two of them started texting to each other for a week until they got to the topic of "Who's your crush".
When Kristian saw her question, he was having a dilemma of whether to tell her the truth or not, but at the end, he still decided to tell her that it was her and the most surprising thing was that, he was also her crush.
This simple words "You're also my crush" totally lifted Kristian's spirit to the maximum and he can't even help it but jump in joy which made his sister who was looking at him at that time to think that he was an idiot.
After that incident, Kristian felt like he had timeskip as Jo Ann was finally in his embrace and remembering her answer earlier when he asked her the question "Will you be my girlfriend?", he tightly embraced Jo Ann who had finall became his girlfriend after 6 years.
Many unexpected things happened during summer at that time which cause their relationship to be distant as Kristian started to skip classes and only played games. He was starting to get addicted to the game, so addicted that he can't think properly.
Jo Ann cried many times just for him to stop playing games and skipping classes until when she was finally about to give up on their relationship. Kristian turned into a new leaf as he had literally changed, there are no signs of him becoming a computer addict which was very surprising.
He had also started to dote on Jo Ann more and the time was also March, which was also the month when Jo Ann agreed to be his girlfriend. Summer was also coming but their relationship was finally mended and they were back to their usual relationship.
At the start of the first day of his third year in high school or more likely called Grade 9, Kristian was not on the first section anymore as he was transferred to the fourth section because of his low grades and the reason of this all was his skipping classes.
Even though he was in a different section, he still visited Jo Ann at their room everyday during launch their relationship was getting better and better by the second until, that day, 7 days after their anniversary, another March month.
March seems to be an inauspicious month for them since it was always March when things change for the two of them. It was the time when they broke up with each other.
It must be because of the amount of projects he needs to finish but Kristian did not shed tears as he left Jo Ann's room. Bottling up his emotions at the deepest part of his heart, continuing on making his projects which he thinks will help him alleviate the pain he felt.

Sorry for the inactivity for about 4 months I guess? and sorry for the plagiarism I did but I did stated that I DO NOT OWN THE NOVEL, I guess there are just some people who loves to act righteous.
