Blinding white light covered Taf's consciousness as the Collison had occurred between himself and the white light. When the light faded before him he saw a gold and red parchment floating mid-air.
" This is becoming more interesting isn't it..?"
Taf thought as he saw the floating parchment before him.
" Looks like some form of Cultivation Art. Well, I guess I'll only know by checking."
The curious Taf then stretched his hands out in order to make his first contact the red and gold parchment. As soon as his hands made contact, information then flooded within his mind.
☆ Demon Inherent Art - Devour☆
" An inherent art...., before I thought that only beasts could make use of their inheritance within the qi stage "
Taf was indeed befuddled by the turn of events. Due to both his and May's novice nature, as it pertained to the cultivation world. They had requested books to read during the trial.
Within those books pertaining to demon beasts. It specifically stated that only demon beasts can activate their inheritance before stepping into the realm of Lords.
He remembers, in particular, this was due to them having formed a core during their prenatal stage ( Fetus withing the womb). This was a rule seemingly cemented in stone.
Taf then quickly forego those thoughts for the moment, when the trial has ended he would then seek further information from Draconian Alestar. Right now his eagerness to know more about the technique had reached its boiling point.
He then quickly delved into the methods of utilizing the Art.
" Interesting, this art is definitely to my liking.."
Taf grinned as he absorbed all the information.
" It appears I'm like a black hole that can't be filled. Whatever in this world I desire shall be taken. Apparently, worlds will be treasures themselves.
What a pity this all depends on the limits of my cultivation, thus as I grow so do these abilities."
He summarized before he remembered a slight detail from when he first started cultivating.
"It's a well-known fact that spirit, demonification and devil techniques should not be attempted within the qi condensation realm.
Would I dare attempt such a feat? "
Taf thought for a while before a big smirk grew on his face.
" Since when did this Mouse play by the rules of the land, but at the same time I'm not a suicidal idiot"
A calming thought went through his mind. He then contemplating for a while before he once again returned to his dantian.
" What's my greatest asset at the moment?"
He seemingly asked a rhetorical question.
" Definitely the abundance of qi at my disposal. It's said that using techniques of spirit, demonication and devil nature are ill-advised due to a simple fact, lack of sufficient qi.
As it stands I'm no ordinary qi condensation realm cultivator. That being said this rule, in particular, might not affect me as much"
There he was seemingly for hours comparing the pros and cons brought forth by his inherent art.

Outside his eyes then slowly opened to see a worried May. There she was seemingly staring a hole through him as she tried to decipher if he had encountered any problems.
Seeing his eyes finally opened she sighed in relief.
" Did you end up discovering anything fruitful? what had been the cause of your qi acting in that manner?"
May then anxiously asked one question after the other hoping that the reply would be something positive from Taf. Hearing her inquiries, Taf knew without a doubt she had been worried sick.
"I know I've made you worry and I'm sorry for that."
He then caressed her warm cheeks while staring and smiling as be gazed. His touch seemingly melt all the worry she had previously felt. Then once he saw she was calm continuing to divulge more of what had occurred in his dantian.
"Turns out I just received an increase in my arsenal in the form of an inherent art. Whether or not I should use it in my current state is another matter"
As he disclosed all that had occurred it caused May to exclaim in shock.
" What!!! How is that possible?"
Caught off-guard she then took the chance to press Taf for more answers. Knowing quite well he was particularly vague with his response.
Taf then went into the details of all that he had encountered after having investigated his dantian. Starting with the appearance of the white light and his discovery of the art and its content.
Lastly, informing her of his previous dilemma as he sought to decide after stringent comparisons between the pros and cons of the matter.
" Well, I guess if anyone is able to successfully attempt this within our realm, it would definitely be you. I say go for it..."
This was quite the unexpected response from May. Though Taf would deem himself cautious he was somewhat lacking in comparison to May, she was definitely the most cautious of the two.
" Don't tell me I caused you so much worry to until you finally broke. You're not losing it on me, are you? That's my role in this relationship. You're the lucid one."
He laughed while uttering to May who sat before him.
" You're right about one thing sir, there is madness but it's within my fingers. Continuing joking and we'll see who will start laughing uncontrollably like a madman."
She then laughed as Taf shifted a slight distance away while uttering a few more words.
" What surprised, mister? The way I see it, who is the best expert on the extremities of your body's limit but your body itself.
For the inherent art to appear at this very moment means the criteria have already been met. Don't you think?"
Hearing her words placed a big grin on Taf's young face. Though he had already decided to test the art, it felt good to have the reassuring words of May.
During their time together, all things between the two were shared with each voicing their opinions.
" Then the only thing left to do is test this thing, huh"
He then uttered while taking the time to stand from his previous meditative stance. May looked on curiously as she wondered what plans he had in store.
" How are you intending to do that? Do you want us to spar for a bit?
She then asked as she took to her feet.
" No, it would be too risking to spar not knowing what the impact would be when the art is active. There is no way I would put you in harm's way.
However, we do have something else..."
As he spoke Taf had now made his way outside of the abode. Within the slightly open lot, he saw a red feathered eagle with tinges of yellow in its features. There was Hammerhead with its pupils still charcoal black.
" Taf I hope you won't harm Hammerhead. I like it as a pet, plus it's quite useful as a mount."
Over the last few months, May had formed a bond with the huge Eagle at the 8th qi demon beast stage. Compared to the previous white Hawk possessed by Team Malgrey, it was twice its size and by far more majestic. Therefore she made a point to warn Taf before his actions.
" Big flower, am I such an uncaring person within your eyes. Tell you what, I'll ensure it has a bit of life remaining.
Taf grinned while he responded which was met by a cold stare by May.
"Hehe I kid, I also like this big fellow a bit so I'll try my best to limit any damage done to it.
When the trial has ended I'll then release my art that is currently in effect. However, it does have a strong personality so it might take some time to train to be your true pet."
Those words brought forth one of the sweetest smile every shown by May. Which girl didn't like to have a pet that she could spoil rotten? Sure it was larger than the norm but that did not change her liking for it.
Taf could only sigh inwardly because now he truly knew he had to hold back a bit.
" Hammerhead let's have some fun "
hearing its master's words Hammerhead slowly rose to its feet. It then launched its way into the red-lit skies.
its beak slowly opened and when looking inside small sparks of flames could be seen moulding itself into a ball. seeing the small figure of Taf on the ground it then descends as a huge ball of flame was discharged at the awaiting Taf.
" Guess it's time to see your might."
Taf then cried out internally as the flames sought to wreak havoc on the lands below.
☆Demon Inherent Art - Devour☆
Sigh this week really has been unpredictable. however, I finally got time to finish this chapter. Starting it from Tuesday night but you lose your thought process when having to stop every second to complete some other task.
I really don't want to rush the ending of the trial so this week is out for its conclusion. Anyways thanks for the votes and comments. They are really appreciated.
