Akira concealed herself in the bushes.

She did not dare go too far from the road because it was dark. The land in the entire locale was wild and unmaintained, and there were some wild animals in the national reserve. She did not want to risk sustaining more injuries. 

She was also worried that she might be too far when Raiden brought her go-bag. Therefore, she decided to hunker down and watch her beautiful burning car. She was almost sure that the assailants would not follow her down anyway. 

If they were interested in a good show of her suffering, they would probably not follow her again into the dark. But she could not underestimate the ruthless people who were pursuing her for money. Therefore, she did not dare reveal herself.
