Chapter 10: Hunter's Guild Assessment

William entered the door and found a wide open field. There are many blocks from A to F.

He looked around and found the C block, the instructor there was currently fighting a mid aged man who was holding a large sword, 1 meter length and 1 feet wide. He was slashing his large sword in a very aggressive manner but the instructor parried all of his attack.

William looked at the other blocks, the same scene could be seen from the other blocks.

He saw the man with a large sword got defeat without even taking a single to the instructor. It means that he failed to pass the assessment this month.

"NUMBER 15, C BLOCK"

He heard the announcement, it seems there's still 9 to go before me. He saw an old man stepped forward in the C block.

The old man and the intructor stared at each other. The old man was the one who broke the silence by rushing to the instructor at an incredible speed.

The old man suddenly throw a dagger

Swoosh!!

The instructor simply dodge the dagger by shifting his body sideways before he also rushed at the old man.

The instructor unsheathed his sword and he slashed at the old man.

Kriing!!

The old man blocked the sword with his two daggers in his hands.

"Ahhhh!" William yawn as he use his right hand to cover his mouth.

"I'm sleepy, It's too boring" William sat in a vacant seat and closed his eye's.

****

"NUMBER 24, C BLOCK"

William slowly opened his eye's and yawn. "it's my turn"

He stood up and walked to the C block. He arrived at the front of the instructor and stared at him.

The instructor in front of him was level 52, the gap of level was simply to large.

"Oi!! Brat why do you want to become the hunter" The instructor said to William.

"Nothing much, it's just that it's such a waste to not sell the monster I hunt" William wave his hand as he replied.

"Eh!!?" The instructor was shocked by his answer. Well, it's really such a waste if you cannot sell the monster you hunt. The instructor shook his head and stared at William who was yawning in front of him.

The heck!!? What's wrong with this brat? He's even yawning in front of me?

Suddenly William heard a very familiar sound in his head.

*ding*

"Ooops wait a minute" William made a stopping gesture with hand. He looked at the notification in his mind.

"...ok" The instructor replied dumbfounded.

[Pass the Hunter's Guild Assessment. Reward 100 points]

"Tsk!! 100 points if I pass" William clicked his tongue.

"Ok instructor I'm ready" Williams expression turned emotionless.

"Brat, if you can hit me once then you pass the assessment" The instructor said.

"Easy" William simply waved his hand and six fireball simultaneously appeared.

The instructor was startled by the sudden appearance of a six fireball. 'A mage?' He thought.

The six fireball flew towards the instructor. William's mana burst fort as he rushed toward the instructor.

The instructor pulled his left hand and punch the first fireball who was about to hit him.

Boom!!

"Low level spell" The instructor said as he looked at the other fireball. This level of fireball couldn't damage him.

The level gap was too large. He checked how many points it needed to upgrade the fireball skill.

Fireball‹level4› = 50 points

He didn't even hesitate to used his points.

'I don't need a strength or powerful defense in this fight as I just have to land a hit on him' William thought. He decided to use 10 stat points to agility and another 10 stat points to dexterity. He checked his stats.

Name: William

Level: 18

Str: 20| Agi: 32| Dex: 31| Vit: 20

Mana: 130| Def: 0

Stat point: 31| Point: 203

Skill: Fireball‹level4›

William suddenly disappeared on his position.

The instructor who was watching him while dispersing the fireball with his sword got startled. 'He got faster' he thought.

The instructor slashed his sword in front of him, even with William's speed in the eye's of the instructor he was still slow.

William saw the incoming sword, he shifted his body slightly.

The sword passed by him in a hair length. If he didn't increased his dexterity by 10 stat point that sword attack will cut him. He immediately cast fireball, this time he cast 10 fireball simultaneously.

'That drain half of my mana' He thought.

'Huh? The fireball got stronger' the instructor thought when he saw the ten fireballs. He swung his sword sideways.

Boom!!

Three fireballs exploded from his attack. William suddenly appeared in from of him and launch a barricade of kick's.

Boom!! Boom!!

The instructor blocks his attack with free hand, when he was about to slash his sword to William another fireball rushed towards him. He change the direction of his sword and swung at the incoming fireball.

After he dispersed the fireball another five fireball flew towards him. He couldn't focus, his attention was divided into two, his free hand was blocking William's barricade of kick and his other hand who was slashing towards the incoming fireball. The instructor felt his arm getting numb from William's kick.

Of course, William imbued a large amount of his mana into his feet. William threw a fireball in ground.

Boom!!

Smoke filled the air as the ground exploded.

"Cough!! Cough!!" The instructor got his eye's hindered by the smoke.

William spread out his mana and scanned the surrounding, when he detected where the instructor is, he launched another powerful kick towards the instructor.

The instructor detected a movement in front of him, he grip his sword in his hand. He suddenly saw William launching a kick with a five remaining fireball in his back.

He was about to catch William's kick with his hand, but suddenly a fireball formed in William feet.

Boom!!

William's gathering his mana in his feet, so he could easily cast a fireball in his feet. A fire emerge from his feet and form a fireball. The fireball launched at the instructor but the instructor managed to lift his arm barely blocking the fireball. William's feet still in the air headed towards the instructor.

William's kick hit the instructor's head.

As the smoke dispersed, the surrounding people could see William's feet at the head of the instructor.

"So, I pass" William said, he sat down on the ground breathing heavily. This fight drain his mana to almost zero.

"Hahahaha" a laughed can be heard from the instructor.

"Brat, you got me there, I, Tom Welser welcome you to Hunter's Guild" The instructor said.

William heard the familiar sound in his head.

*ding*
