Syra and Wes traveled all through the night, it wasn't until the sun was appearing at the horizon that they reached Syra's home just outside of the village. "It's difficult to believe that people live in such a terrible place."
Syra didn't tell him that this was a colony of magical folk, he was aware of her powers but he didn't bother her any further. He believed she was an Irrang and it was best if it stayed that way. Syra knocked uniquely, the locks on the door were turned and it opened. Kai was cautious to open the door, he was a bit weary of seeing his wife walk home with another man. "Wes, this is Kai. Kai, this is Wes, Lily's husband."
Kai gave a soft nod before opening the door completely and letting them both enter. "She's in the room feeding the baby." Syra led the way to the room, she stepped in to see Lily pulling her gown down. She must have just finished feeding the child.
"I have a surprise for you." Lily had aldready shifted her gaze towards Syra when she walked through but when she saw her husband stroll around from behind her, her jaw fell and her eyes were blank. They began to form tears. "Is this real? Wes is that really you?"
"It is." Wes was a very manly warrior but when it came to his wife he couldn't help but show the boyish side of himself that no one else saw. "I am so sorry I left you. I didn't know about my mother until after, I had someone I trust very much follow her and now I know why you were so afraid of her."
The spoke a little about what had happened before she ran away and Syra decided to step out of the room to give them more space.
"I'm sorry I missed the birth of our son. What is his name?" Wes didn't care what the child's name was. He was healthy, beautiful, strong. He was everything that he loved about his wife. "I named him Clain after my father. I wanted to name him after you but I knew your mother would search anywhere she could to find him. I just need him to be safe."
Wes kissed her forehead. "It's a great name. Don't worry, she will never find us."

Six Years Later.
"I don't believe that Syra would reject us, we are visiting her after a year of not seeing her and her twins." Lily and Wes decided to journey back from Dark City where they made their home. Unfortunately, Wes hadn't been able to connect with any flying companions on Al-Peak so he and his wife settled for a horse until it was too afraid to cross over into the outer rim.
"Her and Kai seem to handle parenthood better than we did. What were the name of their kids again?" This was the tenth time he was asked, Syra simply rolled her eyes at her husband who was playing around with a six year old Clain. He really resembled his father, sandy brown hair and his honey colored eyes. "Their names are Kavira and Lucas. Look!"
Lily pointed over to the house that came up in sight. "That's it sweetie, run over there." These day's Clain was so full of energy that it drained her and Wes so much.
They did the secret unique knock and the doors were graciously opened. "Welcome!" Syra arms were opened wide with a huge smile shining brightly at the family in front of her. They greeted each other and sat around for dinner.
Clain tired playing with the twins but they were much too young. The adults laughed at the scene, enjoying their time together as friends and family. "Lily will you help me with desert?"
"Sure." The ladies hoped on into the kitchen.
"How's life in the inner rim? Has everything been well?" Syra missed her friend, she really loved spending time with everyone but nothing beat some alone time with her closest friend.
"Everything is actually great, no one knows us but Wes is such an amazing-"
A giant BOOM was heard and the ladies stopped to listen in again. BOOM. A second boom came seconds after, and another after that and another... Syra ran to into the dinning room where she saw Wes on the floor laying their silently.
"What is going on?" She knelt down to touch his forehead but his body dissolved in thin air. Lily shrieked at the sight of her husband's disappearance. Syra stood up and tried to calm Lily, she gazed over at her husband trying to find out what had just happened but Kai had no clue.
"Mommy.. Where did daddy go?" Clain saw his mother crying and didn't understand what was going on. "Did daddy leave with the little girl?"
"What little girl?" Syra's heart dropped. She turned around to look for Kavira but she was gone. Syra sat her friend down and looked around the house, there was no sign of her. She went out into the village but no one had seen her little girl.
"There's something you have to know." Kai had been with her the whole time but because Lily was there he couldn't really say what he had felt. "The cursed soul has returned. I don't know why Wes is connected to it or why our daughter disappeared."
"What is the cursed soul?" Syra had never heard of this before. "Why would they take my daughter? She is just an innocent little girl." Syra fell to her knees, tears pouring down her face.
"I don't know.. I don't know." Kai comforted his wife out in the dirt road that led from the village to their home. "I promise I will find her and bring her home."
The two stayed there just for a moment longer, crying in each others arms before they made their way back home where Lily, Clain and Lucas were waiting for them.
