Chapter 2: CHAPTER 1 DO I KNOW HIM?
t was announced that the lady in the black mask would be in charge of the experiment. Many in the scientists group became excited regardless of the precarious situation they were in since they already knew there was no going back ,so they tried to cheer themselves up by working with their goddess.
She introduced herself as Lisa and selected a group of scientists consisting of psychologists made them as team leaders .She selected an young scientist as her representative to carry out her orders. That young scientist was Ronald who recently turned 29 and was really regretting his decision to pick up the letter as he was recently engaged to a girl and planned for their marriage soon. He realized this experiment would take at least 7 years to complete.
Lisa introduced 2 couples to the scientists which were undergoing their training sessions for the past 6 months. The couples were chosen by rigorous analysis of their family tree , their IQ and EQ level .Couples were only informed that it would be a regular experiment . They intended to control unnecessary extraneous variables into the experiment.
Two couples were designated as M-COUPLE and F-COUPLE meaning couple who were giving birth to the male child and the couple who were giving birth to the female child respectively.
Lisa divided 3 teams in such a way that one team could be responsible for one couple and a separate team would co-ordinate between the two. Lisa appointed Ronald as chief coordinator which puzzled many scientists as there were many psychologists who were younger than him and have achieved more than him in that field
Even Ronald himself didn't know but decided to didn't bother and simply followed the order . He was missing his love , he was not in the mood to care what Lisa did or didn't. He knew even if he begged Lisa wouldn't
Give a damn about his marriage . Maybe she was compensating him in her own way ,was the only conclusion he could come up with.
He was getting busy with his new role but suddenly got summoned by Lisa to her chamber which made him nervous. He entered her office gloomily but all of a sudden froze, he couldn't believe what he saw.
Her chamber interior was completely white which led him to feel like he was suddenly in heaven . There was a simple table in the middle of the room which was designed like a tree trunk and flower pots sat nicely at the edges of the table . If one carelessly glanced over it might mistake it to be a tree itself.
Beside the tree there was an artificial stream and its water was crystal clear .Sound of the flowing water on the rocks was music to his ears. Lisa stood silently feeding fishes on the pond facing backward to his view .Her enchanting back figure was like a master piece work of a sculptor.
She was wearing white dress and her long hair fluttered on her shoulders like an ocean wave responding to the gentle wind. She wore a white sari which perfectly completed the room and her figure seemed like a part of the room itself . She noticed him and turned casually to his side revealing her black mask and blue eyes .
He was dazed and forgot to ask why he was summoned and stood like a wooden stick not budging an inch. She walked in an elegant manner to her table and sat on the chair. She coughed twice which suddenly brought him back to the reality. He hurriedly asked embarrassingly "Miss Lisa what can I do for you?"
Lisa didn't mind him staring at her, in fact all men that came in front of her had more or less same expression .She glanced at him with her emotionless but beautiful eyes
"We need to develop our children into thinkers who strive for discovering and innovating new things . So we need to carefully apply the principles like observation learning and conditioning to an optimum level .We also need to provide the children with varied stimulus that could bring their full potential .Have you heard of Lazlo?"
His heart was beating fast he forgot to answer her .He remembered again and again the first sentence 'we need to develop our children' .Suddenly he felt like he was being stared ,he hurriedly drank some water on the table .He blamed himself for thinking of other women when he already had someone in his heart
After arranging his thoughts " Yes the father of 3 genius world class chess players "
Satisfied with his answer ,she continued "Lazlo applied our core principle that is 'a genius is not born but fostered into one'. He is one of our senior members who is very respected here."
Roland was not surprised anymore ,he understood that the mysterious organization had lot of contacts all around the world. While they could create a genius like Albert Einstein there is no point in talking about Lazlo's daughters. He asked tentatively "Miss Lisa can I ask you some questions which bugging is me for a while?"
Lisa told casually " Yes ,go ahead"
He felt relieved for the fact that she was easy to talk to "Why are we creating an innovator ? why not a leader like Napoleon who could rule the entire world?"
She was little surprised by his question but smiled at him like a blooming
flower ,unfortunately he couldn't see it because of the mask "There are number of leaders in this 21st century like in the last century but there is a lack of a key innovator that can change the direction of human civilization in a simple formula"
He understood the importance of a key innovator ,as he himself a scientist .He quickly asked "Are you expecting another world war ?"
Lisa didn't reply only remained silent .He was no fool and realized that starting a war like world war is a piece of cake for this organization because who knew, how many leaders in the world were already part of this . He eventually realized how stupid his question was and became slightly embarrassed .
He asked his most important question" Are we able to meet our family..again? What happens to us after this experiment?"
She was not surprised by his question as she has seen many scientists asking the same question in every experiment " You can meet your family every now and then provided you don't disclose our secrets"
He wanted to ask what happened to those who disclosed
She said " We will exterminate his/her entire family from the face of this earth", without blinking her eyes as if it was the most natural thing to do. It sent shivers down his spine. He realized the 'Goddess' was not ordinary.
"We have taken back your mobile phones and laptops and installed a software to monitor your working . In-spite of all these some scientists still tried to disclose our secret but all ended up in their grave . I hope you are smart and give up all such notions . We promise you that your compensation for this experiment won't be simple and we will take care of your family for the next 7 years "
He felt relived after hearing the last sentence and thanked her respectfully. Two weeks quickly passed and the babies were born .For the next seven years just like programming a computer , scientists along with the parents gave all sorts of stimulation to two babies .
For example rich environments for their playground ,sophisticated toys and everyday day their parents would narrate them stories of great innovators . Scientists monitored every moves of the parents and their babies .They optimally calibrated their response to an authoritative parents which is considered scientifically as the best parenting style compared to authoritarian and easy going parenting style.
Children's toys were special made of unique materials which could be explored if the babies tried harder and they used to discover new features every now and then. Scientists carefully created those toys and suitable environment for children to explore .According to them anyone can be an innovator provided they stick to a problem longer .
Two couples were not dumb , they were professional doctors and teachers and understood that they couldn't provide that sophisticated environment which was vital for their children . So they didn't have any objections and continued to co-operate with the scientists. They gave timely re-enforcement when a baby discover some new feature in the toy and encouraged to try harder if they give up easily. Parents acted like a conductor between children and scientists .
Both couples stayed in a specially constructed home for the experiment and were given jobs in the organization itself , which was very flexible . They were getting monthly salaries without doing much effort and their main responsibility was only taking care of their children. Both families signed a lifetime contract with the organization so, they didn't worry about being scammed or losing their carrier . In fact they felt lucky that they were chosen instead of others.
Many scientists were thinking the same thing but knew in their heart that it was all because of their excellent genes and family history .Their ancestors didn't have any genetic diseases and couples were relatively good looking , smart and had no prior record of bad habits. Their IQ and EQ were also above average.
IQ represented intelligent quotient and is mainly hereditary which decides the cognitive capabilities like how fast they can think, manipulate objects in their mind. EQ represented emotional quotient and is also mainly hereditary which decides their emotional capabilities and their motivational levels.
After 7 year
Scientists were given ample compensation which they could spend for the rest their life. They were also given certain drug which resulted in forgetting events of past several years . Even though they forgot most of the details of the experiment ,they could feel in their gut that , something was about to happen and became excited as they knew they were part of such an experiment.
Lisa stood at her cabin and was looking at the departing scientists .If scientists carefully observed her ,they would have been shocked because she wasn't aged at all in the past 7 years!
She adjusted her floating hair and murmured "lets see what can these children achieve", a little excitement could be seen on her beautiful face which could topple the world .
