Chapter 16: What Vampire?
Rance and Bloom did not even try to do something lovely that night. They were vigilant, their senses were as sharp as a knife and able to tell movements around them even though they were asleep.
Unlike what they expected, the night passes without any problem. They are also able to rest properly that night. The two of them went out of the room and went down the stairs just to be shocked when they saw the adventurers on the floor, pinned down to the floor with thick woods.
Rance shook his head and remove their binds. The adventurers look at him with fear and respect, but Rance just shrugged his shoulder and sighed. "Is this how weak human races is? They can't even break the simplest magic I have."
His words were loud and he did not even try to hide his discontent. The adventurers inside the guild were ashamed of the truth that they could not break the bind. But deep inside them, a fire lits up telling them that they needed to get stronger.
"Rance, don't be stupid. They were just normal adventurers. They are not orc Lord or anything." Bloom said.
"Orc Lord, those stupid pigs aren't bad, but I hate them. They stink and they can't even hide their private parts." He said with a clear reaction of being disgusted, he took out his Spear Ax and sign bloom to follow him, "We need to earn money for our debt. That means we have to register in this guild and went for a quest."
Their conversation was heard by every adventurer inside the room, and the thought of these hooded monsters hunting Orc lords left them in a daze. The Orcs have five categories.
The normal Orc that serves as workers of the tribe. Even though they are workers, they are still five times stronger than J rank adventurer (Weakest Adventurer that just enter the guild).
The Orc soldiers, they are normal orcs that trained from after they are given birth, they either wield a club, a broadsword (If they have blacksmith), or a shield (Bark of the forest tree). They are brutal and each soldier could slay ten G rank adventurer. The subduing quest for this orcs is only possible for a party of F rank adventurers, while E rank adventurers can fight with this monster face to face.
The Orc General, they are the master of war, and they mastered everything they can wield on their tribe. They're known as the slayers of eternity. They have five ranks. The five and four-star general are the weakest, but they lead a battalion or two to the battlefield. Only a group of E rank and D rank adventurers that consist of hundred members could subdue them.
The three stars and two stars are the rising stars of the orc tribe. They have no difference, only they lack the experience in war. Rank C adventurers have a headache dealing with them. They are well known as rising star slayer for killing countless rising warriors of the guild.
The first-star general, or also known as major general, in a tribe, there's only ten of them. And every one of them has enough experience when it comes to war. Each member of the circle respect each other, even though they are fighting for being the best, the greatest traits of this generals are being loyal. No one could subdue such a strong major general unless they are a party of B rank adventurers, lead by A+ rank adventurers.
The Orc Lord, an existence that could handle a whole tribe and gain their respect. They wield anything and well known as the Calamity'. Whenever they went will turn upside down. They are brutal, if you were caught by these Orc Lords, you will wish to due instead of being a prisoner. They did horrible things especially when it comes to torture. Also, whether you're a male or female, if you got the look, your hole will be widened. An Orc Lord is marked as the worst monster the world has, but the guild has made a precaution about this existence. They will alert the whole city when they are near, the guild also has a secret force that could deal with Orc Lords easily. But Orcs is their only specialty.
The top player of their tribe is not the Orc Lord, but something stronger. They don't have classification and roam by themselves, Orc Mage, Orc Wizard, Orc Berserker, that are the most common type of them. Unlike other orcs they are more vigilant and aware of their surroundings, they are the strongest of their tribe cause these orcs protects humans. In theory, these orcs are raised by humans and thought to fight.
They are the strongest type, but they are alone, unlike the Orc Lords who leads the most brutal member of the tribe. But what kind of orc do they hunt, Jungle Orc? Land Orc? Mountain Orc? Or maybe the Red Orcs? No one knows, but considering that they can talk casually about them, they sure are amazing.
Rance and Bloom when to the receptionist's desk to register, "Hello, I want to register as an adventurer, my companion also want to join. Can you register us as fast as possible?"
The receptionist was nervous and can't look at his face directly. Even though the hood hides his eyes, the intimidating aura that came from his Spear Ax prevent him from looking directly on his face.
Not getting a response, Rance was irritated. He steps forward and gets near her when a man with a great psyche went out of the door. "Haha! Dear guests, you're finally here. I'm sorry for my receptionist being impolite. But, your weapon... Is that a Pickax?"
Rance stares at him for a moment before he sighed. "Pickax aren't that good. They are too light and too short. Who are you anyway? The guild master? Good morning, I want to register as an adventurer."
The guild master was a bit surprised when he heard him speaking, a pickax being short and light? That's crazy! He smiled bitterly and open the door of receptionist desk. "I'm Rusco, the guild master of this city. Please let me test you myself."
'Nice! This is much better, I only have a week to check this city for slavery magic. I need to register as fast as possible.' Rance nodded his head and follow Rusco in an underground room. The room is wide and has a lot of broken blades and armor.
"This is the testing site, we will not ask for information, we only need your photo as the most important part of your guild card."
"Okay." Rance and Bloom nodded as they removed their hood.
Rucos was shocked to think that the people under the hood were this young, 'They are most likely 16 to 20 years of age. How come they are able to wield the strange amount of mana!'
"Erg! You can start now?" Rance asked Rusco who was in a daze.
"O-of course!" Russo was caught unprepared and started to take a shot.
'Unlike the camera from novels that uses crystal orb, they look like a bit knowledgeable and are able to create design' The camera was not a sphere orb, instead, it has a rectangular shape and has lense like a sphere are on its front. It was made of various metal and a magic stone.
After taking a shot, and providing a nickname for themselves they move to the next part of the test.
"This is the first physical test, it measures the force you can produce in one hit," Rusco said as he shows a huge crystal orb that is supported with silver and gold stand. It was also half covered with leather, and in the middle, there's a patch that could be used as the target. "Please remove any item that could enhance your strength and deliver your strongest punch."
Rance nodded as he unequipped his Spear-Ax. 'S-so, that weapon is his only enhancer? That's scary.'
Rance put on his weird stance of Peacock Mantis Shrimp and launched his full strength punch. 'Bang!' 'Rumble'
The crystal was not damaged, but the force of the punch makes the building tremble.
"W-what is that?!"
"That... It must be the test of strength. Th-that's crazy!"
The adventurer from the upper floor was scared when they felt the force. No one could make the building tremble except for the city lord. The crystal orb is the weakness and the strength of the building. It was connected to the building itself. If the building is damaged, it'll repair itself, but if the orb was damaged, the building will suffer a weakening. That's why the orb was built to receive the strongest attack a human could make.
"Th-this, S- for strength. What skill is that? How could you manage to emit a strong impact in a short amount of time?" Rucos exclaimed as his hands were trembling.
"Huh?" Rance asks as he tilted his head, "You mean I can use various skills and I have unlimited time part to prepare?"
"Y-yes... You mean... That is not a skill!?"
Rance covers his ears as he knitted his brows. "Guild Master, stop shouting. Well, I should take another try!"
Rance, step back and started to prepare. His Peacock Mantis Shrimp Punch was his strongest attack barehanded, and being able to prepare for a long time means he could store more strength on his legs. Physical attack burns stamina instead of mana, but Rance was in deep concentration that he did not notice a change on his legs.
The front leg started to glow red while the back leg where he is storing every force he can put into turn glow in blue. His fist where also put a bit of strength glow green. He bent back little, the sign that he is going to launch his attack.

Lucas did not hear the notification, his back leg snapped and shoot his body forward. He used his front leg to propel faster. He was about to extend his left arm to deliver a blow.
Slipped! Bag!
"B-bloom! What was that for!?" Rance shouted at her. He is only able to notice her feet when he was about to extend his arm. But still, he is able to control his body and slow down his body. If he continues his attack a recoil is not impossible.
She was calm even though he knows what she did, she just looks at him and replies coldly, "Shut up, we're not here to destroy the facility or to show off, we have our own reasons for entering the city, don't play around."
"Tsk!" Rance clicked his tongue as he stood up, "Please use the last record."
"O-okay sir! M-miss, you're next."
"Females is always weak, what's the point of testing?" Rance murmur.
Bloom knitted her brows, she was a bit irritated on what he said. She readies herself for his attack, crouching his body the contracted every muscle on her back. She steps forward as she twisted her waist. Bang!
This time, there's nothing happen, but the crystal shows a bright A-. "Hmp! Who needs a stupid stance just to attack?"
"Tsk! How lame, using her full strength in a short range? Can't even reach the orcs face." Rance rebutted.
"O-okay, let's proceed to speed."

"Hmp! Can't even shoot accurately!" Bloom said as she smiles brightly.
'What the hell, she's pissing me off.' Rance ignored her teasing and approached Rusco. "Guild Master, can we get our guild card?"
"Ah! Y-yes! I'll go back first, please wait here!" Rucos said as he went out of the room, 'The both of them are monster! I can't let them roam to this city, I must inform the city lord!'
When he went out of the room, Rance already felt something's wrong. "Bloom, let's go!"
"Hah? Where's our guild card?"
Rance shoots a glare at her, he shook his head and open the door, "Just follow me, the guild master is strange."
The two of them put their hood and went out of the testing room, "So unlucky, he is able to take our picture. Now, how can we deal with him?"
"Just wait for him here!" Bloom suggested, "This morning, the adventurers are still pinned down to the ground, it means they aren't able to remove it. Let's just ambush him here, and threaten him. We can't kill him, the death of their guild leader will lead to a problem for us."
"Tsk! Okay." The two of them hid themselves to the roof, Rance dropped several wooden spears that is made of jungle wood connected to a thin string on Rance's finger.
After a few minutes, the guild master finally arrives. There's an old man with, holding his epic looking Ax. Rusco was able to notice the spears and approached them? "Hmm? What is this?"
"Tsk! Just go, we have to kill those monsters! You said they are still young right? If my intuition is correct, they are the cursed immortal, the vampires! They even get inside the building last night, that only make my theory possible." The old beside the guild master said as he gets his ax ready. "Beheading is the only way!"
Rusco nodded and pulled out his broadsword. 'This is your unlucky day, fucking vampires!'
Shook! Shook!
"Ergggh! Wahh!" The spear suddenly moves by its own and bind their feet to the ground. Their hands were tied on their back while their weapons were gone.
"Haist. What vampire are you talking about?" ???
