Chapter 5: The true nature
I saw a little girl running to her mother as I watch all the people roaming around that vicinity. The young girl suddenly stumbled in her own feet and that makes her cry out loud because of the pain in her wounded knee. I smell the scent of the blood flowing from her knee I scratch my nose to check if I really smelled it. I turned around to go back to the house because I cannot only smell the scent of the blood but I can hear the people screaming the word "fire". When I arrived at Maeshan's house I could see the fire eating up the house. "The woman went into the fire!, an old woman said. I dialled the number of Maeshan to check if she was at her work.
--I went home early because I left my files and I can't work at the company without it. As I arrived I saw the house burning. I quickly went inside to find CEO Clark but when I went to his room I couldn't find him. I search everywhere but I can't find him I felt nervous as the flame is getting inside the room and I couldn't go back outside the house. My phone ring and I answer it it's CEO Clark I felt relieved and he ask me if where am I but when I was about to answer him the window glass suddenly breaks and it fell into my hand the cut was not deep but because of the phone slipped in my hand. I tried to reach it but the flame is getting thicker. I also fell on the floor because of the pain I felt in my feet and found out that the glass fell also on my feet and makes it bleed a lot.
I can hear her voice and when she answered the phone a sound of breaking glass cut our conversation. I got worried a lot and my sweat started to heat up my entire body. I quickly experience something unusual in me. I quickly run into the burning house and search for her. I can't find her so I shout her name "Maeshan where are you?' I am very tense right now because of her and I keep on looking for her in every part of the house. I could feel the pain of the burnt skin in me but I ignore it I need to find her before it was too late. I struggled to stand because of my wounded foot caused by the broken glass I tried but I felt suffocated by the lack of oxygen inside the house. I cough and felt dizzy. I couldn't remember anything after that.
I heard the sound of cough coming from my room it was difficult to enter because of the extreme heat but I tried to use all my strength to go there. I saw her lying on the floor and bleeding. I quickly lift her up and brought her out of the house. I felt dizzy and I don't know what happened after I rescued her.
--I woke up in a large bed and at my right side is a crying woman in her 40's I can't remember knowing her so I look at her with curiosity. I get up and remember Maeshan. As soon as I stood up I felt weak and quickly stumble the sophisticated woman help me up and ask me "Are you okay son? Where are you going? You're not supposed to get up. I answered her" Where is the woman? She smiled at me and said she is fine. She is still unconscious but she will be fine according to the doctor." She answered. By the way" Who are you? I asked her that makes her stop of her tracks and looks at me, Son it's me your mom after she said that the doctor came and explained to her that I have a temporary amnesia so I didn't recognize anyone.--
