Chapter 5: Entrance Exam
Currently I am on a carriage heading to the Elementia National Academy to take the entrance exams this year. My Nee-sama is accompanying me and said this would be a great chance for a tour.
After a few hours in the carriage me and my sister arrived at the academy. Outside it are young people around my age getting down from their carriages and entering the school gates to take the entrance exam.
We looked around and saw a teacher calling out and telling the examinees where to go for the entrance exam while those who accompanied the examinees like my sister were lead to the waiting area where they will watch us later for the physical exams after the written exam.
"Well sis wish me luck." (Andrei)
"Good luck Im sure it will be easy for you." (Ashley)
After saying goodbye to my sister I was lead to a examination area for people who will take the exam I then sat down at the available seats. I then looked around the place and saw a blue haired girl in one of the seats reading a book I guess she is doing a last minute review on her knowledge.
The examiner still isn't here so the written examinations hasn't started yet. While I was waiting a boy with brown hair wearing noble attire near my age came to me and asked.
"Is this seat taken?" (?)
"No its free." (Andrei)
I replied with a smile.
He then sat down beside me.
"Pleased to make your acquaintance , I am Jian." (Jian)
He introduced himself to me with a kind smile.
"The names Andrei." (Andrei)
I replied to him with a smile on my face as well we then talked for a bit and got along pretty nicely.
"Im kind of nervous for this exam I hope I do pass." (Jian)
"I hope we pass with flying colors." (Andrei)
"Aren't you setting the bar to high there my friend?" (Jian)
He said with a wry smile.
"Best of luck to us." (Andrei)
"Haha, Well I do have confidence in the physical exam." (Jian)
As we were chatting a woman in the ages of 20-30s finally came and the surrounding people all went silent everyone recognizes the badge in her chest it was the badge of a teacher of this school she then introduced herself as the examiner.
"Everyone attention please. The written examinations will now begin there is a time limit of an hour before the papers will be passed those who exceed the time limit and not pass the paper or caught cheating will be immediately disqualified, I do hope the most of you pass. Well then good luck to you all."
The examiner then passed a stack of paper to the people sitting in the first rows and told them to take one and pass. When she confirmed that everyone has test papers she announced that the tests begin.
"Let the written entrance exam begin!"
The exam included history, theory of magics, ecology of monsters, mathematics. I then answered the paper with confidence as I have already learned them from my tutors at home. After a while the 1 hour time limit is up and the examiner took the papers. We were then lead by the other teachers to the training grounds where the second half of the entrance exam will take place.
We were then separated by class. In this world there are 12 Different Classes divided by those who use Magic and Douqi(AN: I read too much CN might as well add some CN elements to the story xD).
My class is Battle Mage which specializes in close combat magic. Such as Physical Enhancement and most of the spells of this class has quick chants of magic though compared to the Magician Class which specializes in magic that has high damage which is like a glass cannon this class is suited for close quarters combat and rapid fire of magic.
Aside from Magician and Battle Mage there are 4 more Magic classes these are :
The Enchanter - One of the 3 Support classes which specializes in binding and increasing the stats of his allies.
The Warlock - Who uses curses and illusions
The Array Master - One of the 3 Support classes which specializes in placing array formations which reduces the status of the opponents and boosting the status of allies depending on the Array used.
The Priest - the last of the 3 Support classes specializing in barriers and healing of teammates.
As for the 6 Douqi Classes they are the:
The Swordsman - Which specializes in sword techniques and fast movements.
The Knight - which is balanced in both defense and attack.
The Archer - Specializes with the bow.
The Guardian - Which specializes in defense and receiving attacks.
The Gunner - Which specializes with the gun.
The Launcher - Which specializes with hand cannons and other heavy ranged weapons.
Aside from the 12 classes there is also the Alchemist which specializes in making potions and pills(AN: more CN stuff xD) to help the fighters in battles.
We were then lead to different places by classes by the instructors. Before I gone to the place directed by the instructor I bid goodbye to Jian before he heads to the Guardian Branch for Examinations.
"See ya later my friend good luck." (Jian)
"You as well." (Andrei)
After bidding farewell I then head to the Battle Mage Branch.
