Zhiyuan helped Marlene on her feet and glanced at Mo Yao Wang, silently asking permission. Mo Yao Wang nodded in return before they left the study.

He decided to stay with his best friend to make sure that she won't do anything that could harm her.

YuYan pulled Li FuJin to her bedroom but right after they stepped in, she let go of her grip on his hand.  

Despite her grandfather's shameless admission about his decision to invite each family heir to join the trial, Yuyan still abhorred the fact that Li FuJin is one of the participants.  

Without looking at him, she seated on a small table and asked one of the servants to bring them something to drink.  

YuYan remained quiet all the while giving a warning glare at Li FuJin whenever he tries to approach her.  

With the unpleasant atmosphere surrounding her, Li FuJin frowned secretly as he remained seated next to her while he kept on staring at his wife without saying anything.
