Chapter 42: Cold And Abstinent
After leaving Zhen Xiu inside the room Lu Jian went to meet Jiang Wui. He needs to know what exactly happened; so that he can help them smoothly.
Jiang Wui was busy playing games in his room when Lu Jian entered.
"Lu Jian you are here."
Lu Jian nodded.
Jiang Wui turned his attention and asked him enthusiastically, "Why are you wasting your time here? You should go and spend your time with sister- in- law, oops I mean Xiu." he corrected himself. Zhen Xiu doesn't like it when he calls her sister in law. It is best to practice this early on to not repeat mistakes.
His statement was followed by cold silence from Lu Jian.
"What? Why are you giving me this look?" Jiang Wui was confused.
"You didn't tell me anything about you helping Xiu." Lu Jian asked. He wanted to beat his cousin hard. How can he hide this important matter from him; he was her husband.
"She asked me to not tell you." Jiang Wui innocently replied. "Besides it also involves aunt. You might not take her side for all I know; she is your mother after all."
"We are not that close." Lu Jian gritted his teeth in anger. His brother who was with him for so long didn't have his trust in him then why Zhen Xiu whom he has treated badly would confide in him. He realized his indifference has caused many misunderstandings in between his close relations. "You should know better than this."
Jiang Wui was ashamed but he didn't regret his choice because it didn't bring any harm to anyone.
"I am sorry, brother. I promised Xiu that I am with her. I didn't want to break her trust." He told him truthfully.
Lu Jian was happy that his brother sided with Zhen Xiu albeit he had a doubt on him still it was good. She had someone who was with her.
"That's okay. Tell me everything you have found." Lu Jian inquired without wasting his time but then he remembered: "Why do you keep calling her Xiu? She is your sister in law. She deserves her title."
Jiang Wui wanted to hit himself. What was wrong with this couple? One wants him to call her sister in law but the other hates him when he says sister in law. It was truly match made in heaven; opposite truly attract each other.
"Because your wife doesn't like it when I call her that so please clarify this with your wife first." He told him clearly. "Since you are here then I will show you what I have got."
Jiang Wui pointed towards his computer and asked Lu Jian to come.
"Next time you should call her Sister in law. I don't want to hear anything else"
After this Jiang Wui nodded and presented all the evidences in front of him and simultaneously told him about the things Zhen Xiu had revealed earlier.
Jiang Wui kept on revealing the information and the air surrounding Lu Jian froze as he completed telling him everything. Jiang Wui noticed the change in temperature and turned to see Lu Jian's dark eyes filled with murder.
"Brother, are you okay?" Jiang Wui asked the stupid question. Who would feel good after watching all these shitty things? When all this is related to his mom and she had planned all this to his wife.
"Why didn't you tell me before?" Lu Jian clutched his fist tight in anger.
Now he understood why Zhen Xiu changed drastically and her love turned into hatred. His mother was behind all the things and she even did something like defiling her like that; how could she?
Lu Jian was never close to his mother but he still gave her appropriate respect even when he knew she just treated him coldly. This was not shocking to him that she can do something like this but the thin line in his heart that belonged to that woman disappeared after knowing about her crimes.
In his life, for the first time ever, he feels ashamed to have a mother like this.
Mother?
She doesn't deserve to be called a mother. She was not even a good woman. Otherwise she would have never done something like this.
"Lu Jian calm down. Don't do anything that will affect your progress with sister in law." Jiang Wui tried to stop Lu Jian from his angry state. Jiang Wui told him, "Sister in law has planned everything already. You need to focus on mending your relationship."
Lu Jian calmed down after hearing this; he will make her happy this time. Before, Zhen Xiu was trying to prove her love and he never gave her a chance but now he will try to make her fall in love with him. This time he will bear everything and make her his.
Lu Jian vowed.
"You are right." Lu Jian confirmed.
Jiang Wui settled his anxiety after this, he was happy to see this changing Lu Jian. "You know brother I kissed that She-Devil today and do you know she was blushing after that. She actually blushed. Isn't it great?" He asked proudly. This was something to brag about. After all, who doesn't know, in their circle Shen Ya was the exact copy of Lu Jian; cold and abstinent. Two words beautifully describing two wooden planks.
"Shut up." Lu Jian gave him a cold look.
"See this is what I am talking about? Sister in law must be feeling great, just like me when she kissed you. I should discuss these things with her. You are no better than that she- devil." Jiang Wui pouted.

Chapter 43: Before a Prisoner, Now a Free-Bird
Next day, Zhen Xiu woke up and was getting ready to go to the office. She was all dressed up after doing her usual morning routines.
Zhen Xiu was waiting for Lu Jian to come and have his breakfast so that she can continue her plan forward. Now, she needs to set up her mother in law in front of everyone doing something incredible. Truly incredible!
She will feel at ease after tormenting her and the matters regarding Shen Rui can be handled by her dear husband.
Who was better than him?
Lu Jian was Shen Rui's weakness.
Zhen Xiu needs to use that hot male for her bidding. But where was he?
Last night after their talk he seems to have disappeared from this house. She tried calling him but nah! She couldn't reach him.
Anyway, she needs to fill her stomach first. She was starving after the complete ordeal from yesterday.
"Wow, sister in law, you are busy eating food. Your husband is busy doing work for you and yet you are enjoying your life." Jiang Wui teased Zhen Xiu.
After his talk finished with Lu Jian he was not able to sleep properly because his heartless cousin was busying being a good husband and made him stuck in the ordeal.
Such a heartless brother!
"You have a problem with me eating food. Besides how many times I have to tell you don't call me sister in law; it makes me feel odd. It's like being a sister of a handsome man. Can you see yourself as a brother of a beautiful girl; take Shen Ya as an example." Zhen Xiu sullenly responded. She really didn't know why this punk was hell bent making her his sister. It feels weird when in your entire life you don't have any single relative and suddenly a pretty brother pops out of nowhere.
"Lu Jian is working. I didn't know; he is my husband he should work for me." Zhen Xiu righteously told him as if it was her birthright. She teased him again: "Why? Are you jealous? My husband is caring and loves me so why are you getting all hyped up. You are my minion; you should be happy for me."
Jiang Wui was shedding his silent tears at the corner. Why was this happening? Both the husband and wife are treating him as their lackey. He has made a deal with the devil itself in his life. They were attacking his weak spot every time they try to jab at him.
"No, I am not jealous. You remember the kiss; I should have a wife soon." Jiang Wui countered.
Zhen Xiu laughed at his lame attempt. He was trying to show off in front of her and that too by using Shen Ya. What a joke? She was her best friend.
Zhen Xiu: "Young master Jiang; you remind me of that lost puppy who barks at his owner when he doesn't get the desired effect. Shen Ya is going to be your wife. Yeah, you wish."
Jiang Wui: "Sister in law, are you questioning my charms? Didn't you see that she-devil's flushed face after my kiss; it was a clear sign that I have a place in her heart. Soon I will woo her."
Zhen Xiu laughed like a maniac this time and meanwhile continued to talk, "That's because it was her first kiss. Any sane person who has feelings and natural body reaction would feel different after they face something new." She reminded him.
Jiang Wui: "…."
Jiang Wui could never imagine that he stole the first kiss of the she-devil. Oh my god! I am dead now. He wondered.
Does that mean it was not because of his handsome charms and pretty face?
He so wanted to kill himself. Will she hate him after he stole her first kiss?
Jiang Wui: "Sister in law, I am dead. She will kill me. You have to help me."
Zhen Xiu really wanted to smack him after his 'sister in law'; this punk was really an idiot. How many times had she told him not to call her sister in law but…
Forget it.
Zhen Xiu smirked: "Ah! Master Jiang, I am already helping you in this. Stop all this nonsense."
Jiang Wui wanted to refute her words but then remembered that after she came here from the hospital she has created multiple opportunities for him to come in contact with Shen Ya intentionally or not but she did.
"Tell me where is Lu Jian? What is he doing?" Zhen Xiu asked him curiously.
Jiang Wui knew that this cruel sister in law will definitely ask him about Lu Jian and here he was dreaming about Shen Ya.
Now he has to do his lackey job first and then only he can dream about his She-devil.
"He is finding something to help you. I am not the only geek here that is good. He is the hidden expert after all. He has assigned me to be your assistant for a few days. So, my master what can I do
for you?" Jiang Wui asked her earnestly.
Zhen Xiu was surprised that Lu Jian was giving her this much importance and that too only after four days of her recovery. It was really weird.
How can he change like this suddenly?
Zhen Xiu was confused. She wanted to ask Zoru about her doubts after hearing 'master' from Jiang Wui. She missed him but it was necessary for him to cultivate and stabilize himself. She was being healed by her other half of the soul.
Sometimes, she feels that she has changed too much after coming into this world. The way she used to behave and deal with things has changed. She now feels from her heart. This new world is devoid of spiritual energy but has given her a good amount of love and care from people around her.
These people are both vicious and honest. Their thinking is different from her past world where only strong ruled and respected.
But in this world, everyone has their own good and bad sides and after coming here she has received both the sides. It feels like she is living a carefree life now. She was a prisoner before and now a free bird in this unknown land.
This was a much better place to live than her own world. She sighed.
