Chapter 12: Mind talk v/s Real talk

" Are you trying to attract me Zhen Xiu? tell me." Lu Jian asked her confused. He agreed for the deal so that he can know her exact strategy but it seems like what they discussed now was really practical.

She really wanted to test him.

"Don't flatter yourself too much. It is nothing like that. Didn't you hear me now." She turned and looked in his eyes. He was confused and his emotions were all over the place.

(Are you sure he is an emotionless fool.) she asked zoru after watching his pitiful condition.

Xiu knew that he is number one in his life and has merits for it but still he treats himself too much like those leading male character in those king and general novels and plays.

What is good about it? [Obviously. Why would I lie to you and didn't you already saw the memories.] zoru told her cutely.

Xiu rolled her eyes on his silly antics. He really is a number.

(Everything seems quite different though. It is just the same characters but a different attitude towards each of them. They were very dull when I saw those irritating memories.) Xiu replied to him. Her snarky attitude was different from his previous host but it really touched his heart as he tried understanding her more.

[It is because you are becoming too OOC that they are behaving differently towards you master. You know they say different fruit new taste.] zoru told her like a teacher lecturing his student. All the puffy cheek and hand on his waist posing like a little king.

(You are too pretty. Don't behave like that or I might eat you instead of Lu Jian. You are too good to be true. Are all these celestials as pretty as you?) Xiu flattered him as she wanted to see his reaction more but unknowingly her delighted expression was seen by Lu Jian.

He did not understand that what actually is going inside her mind? They were talking and now she is suddenly daydreaming in between.

If it was before he would not have paid attention and would be glad that he is better off her.

But now when he is giving her attention she seems distracted and doesn't even care that he is here in her room.

"Zhen Xiu, are you paying attention to me?" he shouted at her after being ignored for fifteen minutes. He thought she was just acting and would definitely response after a few minutes but no she would not.

On the other side, after hearing her compliments Zoru blushed like crazy. Xiu was about to tease him more but the sudden shout of Lu Jian broke her stupor.

"What are you shouting for?" she asked loudly in return. She was teasing her little zoru but this bastard has to come and break their link. Who the fuck he is?

"Really Zhen Xiu, you are ignoring me?" Lu Jian raised his brows and trapped her in between his arms on the bed. Inching closer towards her face by each passing second.

"I don't like being ignored and you better remember it" he whispered and pecked her forehead.

Lu Jian then left after this as nothing happened. Before going out he declared " Be Prepared wife. We will be sharing the room and life with each other starting tomorrow. I don't like my deals unfulfilled so you better prepare yourself."
