Chapter 3: The Inheritance
Dark emptiness.
I can't tell how long I have been in this empty void. The only sensation that I can feel is the surreal feeling of holes in my torso and head, which I cant even see due to the darkness, healing very slowly, or fast I can't tell at this point.
*sob*
"Rena..."
After my parents died several years ago, I was the only one there to protect my little sister. I promised my parents on their death beds when I was 18 that I would protect my sister who was only 4 at the time.
I've failed them.
I don't know if Rena's alive or not, she might even be in this endless empty afterlife I am currently in. But those last moments where her lifeless body laid, sprawled on the ground repeatedly plays out in my mind.
*Beep*
*Host is on the verge of going mad... Solution found*
*Beep. All data on Rena Dominique will be sealed*
*Data will be unlocked when Host is eligible*
Emptiness.
My brain went empty for a moment.
Thinking clearly I feel as if I've lost something very important, but I just can't remember what it was I lost. It head hurts just trying to think about it.
On another note what was is that noise I keep hearing every now and then. The first time was when I got shot in the head by that shadowy dude. The second time was just moments ago.
"Hello, is anyone there."
"I guess no-"

"Wha- What"
"Who said that."

"Wait! What are you and what is this inheritance!?"
*I, the system am the inheritance.*
*I am not a fixed existence and only appear when a world destroying disaster occurs.*
*Whenever I appear my mission is to help a person of the Dominique go against said disaster.*
"Oh, so you are one of those cheat systems?"
*Incorrect Host, the system changes based on the disaster.*
"This is hard to believe, but after seeing those futuristic armored men plunge the world into chaos and a strange shadow killing me, anything is possible at this moment."

"What better option do I have anyways. Yes!"
