'Sit down... I have an announcement to make.'
The class which had been howling so long went quiet as their teacher glared at them and spoke in a dangerously low tone. Nashir was one of a kind. Clipped words, cold looks and colder persona, he could literally freeze your bones with a single glance. Even the Colossus, the dean of Atelier, maintained a safe distance from him.
"Tomorrow is your group allocation. Three in each group will practise under a Chattel. Classes will be held only on Saturdays morning at 8 and rest of the days you will have your on-field training. That's all. Class dismissed."
Everyone followed his words in dead silence and breathed only after he left.
Emon heard the entire announcement with a heavy heart. Being an only girl to wield the power of Enamour could sound challenging, but to her it was hopeless since she still hadn't known her Major shade. Without it, she was nothing but a burden to everyone in the Atelier.
Sighing she gathered her books and made way for Library which was the only place of comfort for her... And of course something else!
Nihar opened the carton of books and had started arranging them as per genre when he saw Emon walking in like a zombie. He watched in amusement as she dropped on a chair with a cloud of gloom hovering above her. Nihar was the Atelier's librarian and was one of the few who despite being a normal guy, knew about Enamour and was the Head Librarian.
"Group allocation?" he asked without beating the bush.
"Honestly? It's been just fifteen minutes since the announcement and you already know?"
Nihar chuckled, "I have my spies all around..."
Emon snorted at this comment. He pulled a chair and sat beside her.
" So you are upset because... "
"Because I'm a burden to everyone and will be a curse to whichever group I'm chosen" Emon almost buried her face in her backpack.
"Whoah... That's something too intense... Self pity of a cursed girl... I should write a book on you"
Emon swatted at Nihar. He was her only friend and her first crush, which he was oblivious to. Nihar acted more like a big brother and she enjoyed it.
"Girl, gather up your guts... I know what you are going through, but give it some time... Yours powers will bloom."
Nihar's voice soothed her broken heart. It has been five years since she had gotten the rose mark of Enamour but it was devoid of any colour, once her Major is decided the mark will bear the colour of her Major.
' I hope so...' she thought.
