I opened my eyes and saw that I was back in the headquarter realm of the god. Meaning I was back at the grassland. But the difference was that now in front of me was a small hut which I'm sure wasn't there when I came here before. In front of the hut stood god and he signaled me to come inside with a hand gesture without saying anything.
"I know you are still recovering but we need to talk more on the aftermath of what has happened." Once inside and seated, god went straight to the reason I was called for. I could only nod at that, since we didn't really go into full detail on the matter. And since I was someone who was in the heart of the matter, I would of course be in the discussion about this even though this should be dealt with by the gods.
"Since we are talking about it, let me ask the question that will definitely rise in this discussion. Will this happen again? I mean, the slumbering new god waking up and reviving more of those type of guys and possibly those I just killed?" I began by asking the question which has been on my mind for a while now and also a question which would probably rise in the discussion down the line.
"It is a possibility. The fact that he/she did so in the first place might mean that he/she has a plan in mind and it would definitely be a plan that we won't like. So once he/she wakes up, the probability for the new god to do something similar is very high. For now, though, all we can do is prepare ourselves while we gods keep a watch over where that god is slumbering." God stroked his chin in thought while he spoke and I ended up getting the answer I had already guessed. Though I had to ask to be absolutely sure.
"What do we do? You can't be expecting me to be on the frontlines alone each and every time this happens, could you?" I asked him since I really don't want to go through what I just did for a second time and probably a third, fourth and a fifth time and so on. This time, I was lucky to come out alive, but next time won't be the same since there could be even more of those guys and they might also end up working together.
"Don't worry about that. We know you can't do it alone. We were thinking that you should train a batch of people from your current world to the limit and then introduce them to the laws so that they could work towards the demi god rank. But that will take a long time, we need a backup plan. And that is for you to go around and recruit some people that are already nearing the limit of strength and are close to the demi god rank. This way, you can have help when you have to face any revived beings because of that god. Of course that is considering that it does happen." God gave a nod to my words and replied which ended up easing my worries and so I gave a sigh of relief before thinking about his suggestion.
The idea of training a group of mages can be a good choice in the long run but what if we run out of time before they are ready. I do have some people in mind and they have a lot of potential, so they might not take too long. But still, they might not have reached demi god rank by then. I mean even I am still not at that level yet not to mention those whose strength is way below mine.
So at the moment, the second option is the one that could help the most right now. But then again, there isn't anyone who can reach demi god rank anytime soon in the Fairy Tail world so I might have to go elsewhere to look. But the problem is, I have just returned from an unknown place with two limbs missing and countless other wounds. So the girls would definitely freak out once they know I am going away again for something that they know nothing about.
Of course, this time I am going on more of a sightseeing trip so I won't be in any real danger and I can use that reasoning to calm the girls down but I know I shouldn't be going anywhere at all for the time being. As such, I decided to hold off on the recruitment mission until the Tenrou Island arc. That way, I could focus on the mission while not having to worry about what the girls might think since they will be away for about seven years.
"Alright, but I have to wait for some time to do that. Moving on, what happened to the plane of that god?" After thinking it over, I gave him a reply before moving forward with the discussion.
"For now it is a bit unstable but it will not collapse. The reason it is unstable is because the god was using the revived people to stabilize the plane. Since you killed them all, the stability of the plane has become so but since the main power over the plane is in the hands of the god, it won't completely collapse. Until the god wakes up, the plane will be in the state of instability." The god answered from his spot and I took the information in quietly. While this may seem something that is unrelated to me, any information I might get can be useful.
"The rest of the gods are also trying to find someone that could be of help in the future if a situation like the last time happens. But that has a low chance of happening since they can't revive anyone dead like the new god and they also can't interfere in the worldly matter. They could only hope for a chance encounter with a lost soul. Like how we met." God continued as he spoke on the what was happening on the side of the gods.
"So it is all down to me in the end. Are you sure you are all gods?" I gave a sigh at what he said since this was making me realize more and more that gods were somewhat useless. This would mean that I would have to take on more and more tasks because they are unable to do anything themselves.
"Oi, oi, are you saying we are useless? Although we have a lot of strength, we can't do anything because the laws of the multiverse and the void binds us, not because we don't want to do anything. We also want to be there and fight but what can we do, we are helpless in the face of these laws. The most we can do is fight the new god once he is awake and that is also if he does something stupid like this time." God gave an annoyed look at me before looking up and lamenting over how helpless he was. While what he said does make sense. It doesn't change the fact that they weren't of any help.
"Alright I'll send you back now. Recover and rest well for now. You have a lot of tough days ahead of you, child." We spent about an hour or so talking after that and we finally ended our talk. After saying so, god sent me back to earthland where I woke up as soon as I was sent away. But seeing as it was still night time, I went back to sleep and think over what I have learned from god in the morning.
