Chapter 2: About the Trimurtis
Three men of my life : Shankar , Madhav and Sanat.
As the name suggest they are Trimurtis ( Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma) totally different in every aspect yet the most important persons of my life. My world revolves around them and I was damn sure I am the most important and loved woman of their life too. I was proud for being the centre of attraction for all the three but few days this irritated me too. They were love of my life and the most difficult thing was to decide whom I love the most.
"All men are alike. " its a common saying but my men are so different from each other that I feel that they are reflecting different nature of same creature 'Man' in different ways.
According to Hindu mythology Trimurti is triad of three gods who are forms of creator, preserver and destroyer. They were not only different in the roles they played, but also type of dress they wore ( Swetamber , Pitamber and Digamber). It is also believed that they are three different forms of world where earth is Brahma , water as Vishnu and fire as Shiva. It is also said Shiva symbolises the physical principle, Vishnu the psychic principle and Brahma the spiritual principle. Some believes that Shiva represents emotions Vishnu intellect and intelligence and Brahma intuition and creativity.
I believe that they show the different nature of a man and even if they are Tridevs they are one and same like my Sanath, Madhav and Shankar. Hence I wrote a poem on them which got published in Amarujala too. I received lots of motivating comments but few comments still haunt me...
"How come you have such a good command on Hindi?"
"Are you really a South Indian ? But your Hindi is superb."
I feel like asking, "Is National language is still the copyright of North India?". But I don't blame them along because fault lies with our mentality too. We at Tamilnadu feels that speaking English is a status symbol and Hindi is a language of illiterates. So I always avoid the controversial talks of language. I love Hindi because my thoughts and feelings express themselves and weave together in Hindi better than in any other language.

TRIMURTI TUM EK HO...
( Translated in English)
भगवान ब्रह्मा विष्णु शिव सब एक हैं,
हमारी प्रार्थना के केवल रूप अनेक है।
तीनों का संगम, त्रिमूर्ति ही संसार है,
ॐ में बसा है ब्रह्मांड,यही जीवन का सार है।।
bhagavaan brahma vishnu shiv sab ek hain,
hamaare praarthana ke bas roop kaee hai.
teenon ka sangam, trimoorti he sansaar hai,
Om me basa hai brahmand, yehi jivan ka saar hai .
(Lord Brahma Vishnu Shiva is all one,
Only difference is many form of our prayers.
The confluence of the three, trinity is world,
In the universe, it is the essence of life.)
शीतल गंगा जटा में, ज्वाला भरे नेत्र है।
मस्तक पर चन्द्रमा, कैलाश पुण्य क्षेत्र है।
कभी नीलकण्ठ, कभी दिगम्बर कहलाते हो
सृष्टि के संहारक, महादेव कहलाते हो।
तीनों का संगम, त्रिमूर्ति ही संसार है,
ॐ में बसा है ब्रह्मांड,यही जीवन का सार है।।
sheetal ganga jata mein, jvaala bhare netr hai
mastak par chandrama, kailaash punya kshetr hai.
kabhee neelakanth, kabhee digambar kahalaate ho
srshti ke sanhaarak, mahaadev kahalaate ho.
teenon ka sangam, trimoorti he sansaar hai,
Om me basa hai brahmand, yehi jivan ka saar hai .
(Wore Ganga in his jata, flame in eye.
moon is on head, Kailash the virtuous.

The destroyer , also called Mahadev.
The confluence of the three, trinity is world,
In the universe, it is the essence of life)
चतुर्भुज, नीलवर्ण तु ही कमलनयन है,
क्षीरसागर में वास ,शेषनाग ही शयन है।
कभी नारायण,कभी पीताम्बर कहलाते हो
सृष्टि के परिपालन, वासुदेव कहलाते हो।
तीनों का संगम, त्रिमूर्ति ही संसार है,
ॐ में बसा है ब्रह्मांड,यही जीवन का सार है।।
Chaturbhuj, Nilavarna tu kamalnayan hai,
ksheerasaagar mein vaas, sheshanaag hee shayan hai.
kabhee naaraayan, kabhee peetaambar kahalaate ho
srshti ke paripaalan, vaasudev kahalaate ho.
teenon ka sangam, trimoorti he sansaar hai,
Om me basa hai brahmand, yehi jivan ka saar hai .
(Chaturbhuj, Nilavarna, you are kamalnayan
Stay at Kshirsagar, slept on Sheshnag.
Sometimes Narayana, sometimes Pitambar
Creator of universe, also called Vasudeva.
The confluence of the three, trinity is world,
In the universe, it is the essence of life)
चतुर्मुख, हिरण्यगर्भ तू ही पितामह है,
चारों वेद के निर्माता,हंस तेरा वाहन है।
कभी स्वयंमभू ,कभी श्वेताम्बर कहलाते हो
सृष्टि के उत्पादक, सजृनदेव कहलाते हो।
तीनों का संगम, त्रिमूर्ति ही संसार है,
ॐ में बसा है ब्रह्मांड,यही जीवन का सार है।।
chaturmukh, hiranyagarbh tu pitaamah hai,
chaaron ved ke nirmaata, hans vaahan hai.
kabhi svayammabhu, kabhi shvetaambar kahalaate ho
srshti ke utpaadak, srijandev kahalaate ho.
teenon ka sangam, trimoorti he sansaar hai,
Om me basa hai brahmand, yehi jivan ka saar hai.
(Chaturmukh, Hiranyagrbha,You are Father,
Creator of the Vedas, Swan is the vehicle.
Sometimes swayanbhu, called Shvetambar
The Creator of the universe, called Srijandev,
