Chapter 1: My poor family

Lou Lin is the only direct heir after her father and grandpa. The Lou's name were known as one of the biggest Empire on Realty Estate. This family has established many subsidiary businesses which mold the economic state of Beijing.
Elder Lou Tingche is the main head of the family, and have been featured in business magazines abroad and a regular in 'Caijing' [1]. Although a well-known man in the business world he only has a son Lou Chen, The Elder of the biggest business in Asia lost his wife died while giving birth to their only son. They said he loved her dearly. Her death was enough for this man to only focus his life in growing his business and taking care of his beloved son, his only heir.
Lou Chen is also a businessman but his ventures are more related to research, medical practice, and innovation to improve quality of life. He and his wife Lui Meixi is well known in the field of pediatric cardiology and developmental-behavior medicine.
The couple went for a 5-day business trip and left to go to the USA finding a hospital with good access to organ transplant because this couple's only daughter may need it someday. After the USA they will be stopping down to Canada to settle a project Lou Tingche established for the Chinese community there. While their away Grandpa Lou has decided to spend his time with her granddaughter to keep her company and also make sure to take care of her health.
Today Lou Tingche's son and daughter-in-law are returning and he wants to pay more attention to Xiao Lin[2]. He feels better than when he looked after her son when he was a child. This Grandpa do loved spoiling her more when her parents are away.
The grandfather and granddaughter duo decided to play hide and seek and Grandpa's turn to be the seeker. While the little angel tiptoed and giggling and went to hide from her grandfather.
"Xiao Lin, where are you?" Elder Lou shouted at the top of his lungs, he was exaggerating but he was happily playing with his six-year-old granddaughters hide and seek. Suddenly his line in his study started ringing continuously. He quickly grabs the phone and his Assistant was on the phone.
"Sir, have you watched the TV? If not please have a look at your computer the Madam and Young Master are on the news right now". assistant Fei Hou tried to give the news in the best way he could tell the old man.
He quickly browse his laptop and saw the news that a plane went missing in the middle, not the Pacific Ocean flight CX 385 might be a casualty of an unexpected plane crash in the middle of the vast blue waters. The article said that the control tower in Beijing Airport have contacted the Airport from Vancouver Canada for details during the takeoff and compared recordings of status while it is still in midair.
The plane was said to went offline and according to the last coordinates recoded, the plane went missing in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
He received a call from his Assistant Fei Hou. And according to him the national coast guard and navy of China have been alerted and begin to search of the planes whereabouts, some volunteers also from countries near the area and the USA, Canada are helping with the search. All still have no leader of the possible scenario of the event and haven't found anything even debris of a plane nor bodies of passengers like Lou Chen his only son and Lui Meixi his daughter in law, mother of Xiao Lin.
Lou Tingche felt like being thrown into the abyss facing King Yama himself filled with anger and sorrow."Oh God please you must save my poor family! She's only six and how will I tell her the news"Grandpa Lou was thinking to himself.
While Elder Lou is stunned and pale standing in such a gloomy state, Lou Lin popped out from under the table of the study room mischievously trying to surprise her grandfather. She curiously looked up asking why his grandpa stopped calling her and why he looks in pain so she asked her grandfather.
"Yeye[3] are you hurt!". from a small angelic voice comes from below was Xiao Lin worried. Lou Tingche looks at his granddaughter and reached out to path her head. Trying to hide his worries he smiled at her.
"Yeye! I help you cure like Mommy does when I'm hurt". The little angel tried to reach her Grandpa's Lou by leaning on her toes and her lips shaped in a small "o" blowing the pain in her grandfather's face.
As Grandpa Lou saw her actions and smiled bigger and hugged her. "My little angel will be a great doctor when she grows up". Grandpa Lou hides his tears by trying to lift the child and carry Lou Lin in the garden. He was afraid she will know what happened to her parents. He knew she is smart by a few levels in her age group. Knowing she's quite sensitive about the people around her proving she also has a good EQ. She is his son's daughter for sure.
As Grandpa Lou manage to control his emotions a little he put the little girl down and smile at her. "Is the boo-boo still hurting Grandpa?" Tilting her little head and innocently trying to heal her grandfather's pain.
"No the pain is gone now! Grandpa just had a little headache it's ok now don't worry" whispering to his granddaughter. In his arms trying to toughen himself for the bad news he just received.
"Don't worry my little angel I'll protect you, I will be here for you, Grandpa will never leave you alone". Lou Tingche made a vow to himself that no matter what happened to his son and daughter-in-law he will keep his granddaughter safe, healthy and happy.
Outside the Empire State of Grand Peninsula reporters started to gather. They all wanted to get have a piece of the story about young Madam Lou and The only heir of the biggest Empire in the business of Beijing.
The Grand Peninsula has very strict security and because one of the richest people in Asia owns this Estate they only camp outside to be able to not anger the old man Lou Tingche.
