Zane had an average time at the lunch table with the gorgeous girl. She had introduced herself has Jessica and had instantly taken to flirting with Zane.
She sort of rubbed him the wrong way, with the instant flirting and just the basic bitch look she had. He really didn't go for girls like that. In fact, though he was bisexual, he preferred boys over girls. It was just his personal preference.
He decided quickly that he was not going to sit with her again.
She's not a bad person but she just wasn't the type of person that Zane usually hung out with.
After lunch he went to his classes (he wouldn't admit it but he looked for Hunter in each of his classes. And was sad when he didn't see him for the rest of the day).
Truth be told, he was starting to think that Hunter had left for the rest of the day.
After school, as he was walking to his car, he was stopped by a boy he hadn't seen before.
"Hey! Just wait! Can I talk with you?" the boy asked out of breath. It sounded as if he ran there just to speak to him. The boy breathed real hard before continuing, "It's about Hunter"
That perked Zane's interest. He responded with a raised eyebrow and asking what it was.
"He was acting really weird today. He didn't even try to find me or text me since he skipped school. And I saw him run away from you at lunch so I thought I could ask you about it," The boy said, with genuine concern for his best friend.
"I think that's something that you should talk to Hunter about," Zane said, seeing how he reacted. He honestly just wanted what was best for the boy and right now, he knew that it was better for him not to tell Hunter's friend. It wasn't his place to.
"I can't because he's not answering his phone and his mom says that she can't get through to him either," the boy said.
Zane shrugged and started getting into his car before quickly asking, "By the way, what's your name?"
"My name is Samuel but everybody calls me Sammy," the boy responded with a sweet smile.
Zane noticed that Sammy was very genuine with his feelings and was glad that Hunter had somebody like that in his life.
"Mine's Zane. You'll most likely be seeing more of me."
Sorry, these are so short and so spread out, it's a struggle to get motivation and inspiration for this (and I don't want to force myself to and it be bad). Please enjoy this! I hope to crank out a few chapters within the next couple of weeks!
