It's been six years since those missed calls and honestly, my life has never been the same since meeting that girl. My brain has been open to things I never thought any human would know. Even now knowing such things I can't even begin to wrap my head around it. It's honestly very frightening to have such knowledge. Nonetheless, the worse thing isn't even that. There's continuously this feeling of being watched all the time. As if there's this omnipotent presence around you. Whatever for now I do nothing but close my eyes to it all and let myself fall deep into my consciousness.
-Six Years Earlier-
"I've been calling and calling but you never once picked up the phone. Do you have any idea how worried I was that something could've happened to you?!"
As I look back at the girl who I talked to in the park I can't but help think how scared she looks. She looks just like a scared little puppy who was scorned for doing something bad. Having this thought in my head I let out a big sigh as I sit down on my bed.
"Look I'm sorry for screaming at you but you vanished without a trace and then you left me that…that voicemail. What else was I supposed to think?"
With my face buried in my hands looking down, I can see her feet walk closer to me. On her middle toe of her right toe, she has this beautiful toe ring with a flower wrapping around it. On my right shoulder, I feel her hands grabbing it tightly. However, it's not tight because she's mad at me for screaming at her but instead, I feel this sense of sorriness and this need for protection.
"I'm sorry for not picking up and not seeing you again," she chokes up as she says those words in which then I start to feel how truly bad she feels.
Slowly I get up and hold the same hand that was on my shoulder.
"Takeru. That's my name… what's yours?"
She takes a second as she fidgets around with her hands as if nervous to tell me what her name is.
"Umm," nervously she fidgets around.
"It's alright if you don't want to tell me right now."
Before I can even finish my words, she shakes her as to say no.
"My name… my name is Miyu."
A new entry into the Miyu universe which picks up right after where Strangers finished. A deeper plot is waiting underneath it all. Stay tuned!
