Chapter 1: Death

"What day is it today again?"

An old man walking in a slow manner asked himself waving the sword in his hand.

"It seems that there's many of them today."

He sighed to himself as he continued to wave his sword.

*Swish Swish

*Clink Clink

He continued this for a few hours before his pace further slowed down.

"I'm mistaken, it seems that they're planning to end it today."

He sighed again as he stopped himself from walking forward.

"But it wasn't all that bad, at least they gave me quite a good time."

He looked up to the sky and grinned.

*Thump

...

Up above, a helicopter silently watched the scene below.

"Monster..."

Inside it, someone wearing a commander's clothes mumbled with slightly trembling lips.

"It's over sir, the target is already dead."

His subordinate attempted to calm him down. The commander turned to him and said with bloodshot eyes.

"Over?! You call this over?! We wasted almost every elite group we have just to take out this one man!"

His subordinate stepped back in surprise.

Realizing what he did, the commander took a deep breath to calm himself down, afterwards, he looked at the sight below and said in a daze.

"The scary part is not that he's alone, but the fact that he only used that weapon to beat our men."

Below them, corpses of men wearing their elite's clothes can be seen almost everywhere in a hundred meters range with only a few of them surviving.

All over the ground, numerous bullets that are sliced in half are also commonly seen.

In the middle of everything is an old man holding a sword in a kneeling position. If one looked closely, one can notice that the man is dead, but despite that, no one dared to go near him.

"He only used a sword to kill our allies! A sword against guns!"

"He also killed them only one slash each!"

The survivors nearby shivered remembering what happened. The one who seems to be their leader raised his arm to calm them down.

"We only got lucky, the bullet I shot was to his blind spot. The main reason it got through was because he's tired..."

The leader looked at the sight around him with furrowed brows.

"... But it took the lives of hundreds of our elites just to tire him out."
