Chapter 1: Chapter 1: I’m Tired of Bad Fan Fics.

I've read all I could get my hands on. From Mangas to Comics. Western and eastern. After years of not finding anything that could satisfy me and my picky reading habits, I found them, Fan-Fictions. That's when I realized that a lot of the great stories I've read and games I've played were just Fan-Fics from older stories. Some would say they were inspired by them or would outright deny that it had anything to do with what they had created.

But that's enough of my rambling. I could go on and on about this for hours, but that wouldn't be interesting, would it? The important thing and the point I was trying to make with what I previously stated, is my current predicament.

"So, have you decided where do you want to be reborn." Said The black, bald man in a white robe.

I've died. It was an awful mistake on my part. Reading while walking on the street can lead to very bad things. Is not that I didn't know it might happen. The Pokémon Go incidents made the news everywhere. I should've known better. Now I'm here, in a wide and white place, being offered to be reborn by an ascended. Not a God or a Goddess. This nice man explained to me what he was. An individual who ascended mortality or something like that. He offered reincarnation because he was bored and he could. I was just lucky to encounter him when I died. He told me dead was just the beginning, but he didn't specify the beginning of what. He just went right on to give me another option than the usual. Reincarnation. He didn't say what was there besides that. He gave time to think it over. As you might have noticed by now for my explanation, he didn't say much about what I would get into once I accepted or if I didn't.

'Life is better than being dead,' I reasoned after a lot of thinking with the low amount of info I had. I was taking a leap of faith. I did not like it one bit. I'd rather know a lot about something before taking a risk. To hell to those shady folks that present you something and you have to decide on the spot. That's how you get screwed over.

"Good choice!" The man said, in a high spirit. "Now, where should I place you?" He asked himself with a pensive look on his face while massaging his chin with his right hand. "I know!" He declared with a finger snap from his right hand. "I'm sure you're going to like it." He looked my way.

"Like what?" I said, untrusting.

"Do you know what Dragon Ball is?" He asked me.

"Yes," I replied bluntly. No knowing what that has to do with any of this.

The man smiled from ear to ear. "Then it's decided. You are going to the Dragon Ball universe."

I was shocked. "How am I going to a fictional world? That is insanity itself! What do you think I am? You might be an ascended or whatever. But place me in a fictional world?! How would that work? Will you place me in some kind of illusion?" I said, angry and feeling as if taken for some kind of moron that just takes everything at face value without questioning it.

He looked at me with a hurt demeanor. "Who said it was a fictional world? Who do you think I am? A devil? What wouldn't do that kind of broken and detestable deal without it being agreed upon beforehand." He looked away while crossing his arms.

I was surprised by such a response. I thought he would just say 'so?' and continued by stating who has the power and upper hand in this deal. I didn't expect this from a grown man of, I don't know how many, centuries old.

"Okay," I said, dragging the 'kay' part for three seconds.

The man fake cough three times and proceeded to say, "I should've seen that coming. The Dragon Ball universe is no some 'Fictional' world. It exists. A lot of the stories in your world exist in some kind of way in the vast multiverse. It just that some people, mostly writer, can see them without realizing it." He finished with a 'what do you think about that' face.

"I understand," I replied with a poker face.

"Let's just get you reincarnated so that I don't have to see you ever again." He said with a defeated tone. "Now, choose."

A screen showed up in front of me once the man said that. 'A fucking character selection screen!! What is this? A game?' I proceeded to scan through it. There was race selection, the planet of origin, among other things I won't mention because I can't select them. Heck, the only thing I can choose is my race. 'Screw it, I'm going to be a Saiyan.' Once I decided and picked the Saiyan race, the screen disappeared.

"I was hoping you'd choose a Namekian." The man said in a sorrowful tone. "I'll give you something to spice things up." He snapped his right-hand fingers.

Initializing System Interface.

"What in the actual fu-" I tried to say, but was interrupted.

"Before you go ahead and start thinking it'll be as one of those crazy stories about game meets real life, which I guarantee you it is not, let me explain what this is." The man remarked. "The System Interface is just a way to make some things easier for you. The information you might not know for example."

"So it is a search engine," I said.

"You can say that." He nodded. "There are other features, but I don't know them all nor I know which ones are locked out for you right now."

"Locked out?" I questioned, mindlessly aloud.

"What? You expect me to hand you everything on a silver platter?" He raised his right brow. "Where's The fun in that?" He smiled.

I didn't know what to say to that. I stood there, stuck.

"I think that's everything. Have a nice new life!" He snapped his fingers and everything went dark.

System Interface has been fully integrated.

Initiating reincarnation protocol.

'At least I have this.' I thought.

100% Transferred.

"What name are you going to give him." A distance mainly voice said, coming from the darkness.

"I don't know. Let me think about it for a minute." A closer womanly voice said.

"Of course you don't know. You always leave things until the last moment, Sarada." The manly voice said, closer than before.

"No fair. You should come up with a name too, Sallot." Sarada. Her voice is so loud now. I think she is on top of me. "What about Tato?"

Tato? What kind of name is that?"Sallot said. I think he is right beside me for how loud his voice is now. "Karoto sounds better."

"If someone left you two give him either of those names, I think he might die from just hearing it." A different voice said, farther away than either Sarada or Sallot.

"Lettus, when did you arrive?" Sallot and Sarada said at the same time.

"I came as fast as I could when I heard that my sister was having my nephew. I couldn't have peace of mind thinking about the kind of name you two might give him." Lettus said in a sarcastic but worried tone.

"If you think you can do a better job, then go ahead," Sarada said.

"Yeah, go ahead." Sallot agreed.

"Ok." Lettus accepted. "But it won't be a Saiyan name. It'll be something better for the new generation that's bound to surpass the old if we die or aren't able to continue fighting." I could hear his voice getting closer as he talked. "His name will be Yamo, in honor of Yamoshi, the first and only Super Saiyan." I felt a hand rubbing my head.

"Yamo, eh. I'm not against it. What about you Sarada?" Sallot asked.

"I'm okay with it." She said in a normal tone. "Hello, Yamo!" She rubbed something against my face with a hyper tone.

I opened my eyes without realizing. They felt heavy. The first this I saw were three faces. A woman and a man with a moderate dark skin tone and white hair. Those must be Sarada and Lettus. And on the other side of Sarada, there was a man with a lighter dark tone of kin and deep blood red hair. That looks awesome. I hope I get either hair color. Or my mix of the two.

"Look, look! He opened his eyes!" Sarada said, happily.

They all looked at me with smiles. So my adventure in the Dragonball universe begins.
