(5 minutes before the knock out)
Arthas and Dythar held their breath as they quietly snuck into the hollow. Both men kept their eyes peeled and searched desperately in the darkness for a sign of movement. Arthas kicked a stone and winced as the noise echoed through the hollow. A small snort sounded shortly after and the men made eye contact. The T. Rex was actually guarding something! Maybe a baby T. Rex? Another weird noise and a grunt echoed through the hollow follow by the thump of footsteps. What ever it was approached the men and they drew back further into the hollow.
Astonishment surged threw the men when they saw a small petite girl stumbling through the dark toward a pond. Arthas was just about to announce their presence when the girl started stripping off her clothes. He stiffened and quickly went to turn around the tips or his ears turning red. Dythar looked at Arthas and mouthed 'What the hell?' The women grumbled to herself behind them and the reality of their situation hit them.
"Aiee!" The women screeched. Arthas whipped around and took a step toward the women thinking something had attacked her. His foot snagged a rock and it tumbled down into the water behind the girl and Arthas clenched his teeth. The girl whirled around and made eye contact with Arthas. Arthas gulped if the girl yelled the sleeping T. Rex would surely hear her.
"What the f-" As she opened her mouth he dashed toward her and covered her mouth with his palm. Arthas was surprised when the girl managed to get away from him, she had a gift for speed and agility. "What the hell you perv---" Arthas quickly covered her mouth again sweat pouring down his back. The fact that the T. Rex hadn't woken up yet was already one hell of a miracle. Arthas glanced down and froze, the tips of his ears warmed up. Her skin was as white as jade and seemed to blind him. Arthas was jerked out of his haze when she bit into his hand. Was she a freaking piranha?
"Mother flower!" The girl cursed, Arthas quickly covered her mouth again his eyes pleading with her to be quiet.
"Don't panic!" He leaned down to whisper in her ear. The girl froze and met his gaze, maybe she understood the situation they were in now? Arthas sighed and then realized the girl in-front of him wasn't wearing any clothes. His eye traveled lower and suddenly his family jewels were assaulted and he crumpled to the ground.
"Not today Turbo!" the girl said smugly and started to limp away and struggled to pull a dress over her head. The dress didn't really cover anything and Arthas gulped. Dythar quickly jumped into action and hit the back of her neck, the girl seemed to murmur something before finally collapsing on the ground.
.... (Back to the present)
Arthas wore a pained expression as knelt on the ground cursing his fate. Who'd expect such a small frame could produce so much force. Dythar glanced at him in sympathy and patted his shoulder.
"Why the heck is there a crazy chick in a cave with a sleeping T. Rex!" Arthas furiously grumbled sweat trickling down his forehead. Dythar shook his head seeming deep in thought, her took a small blanket out of his pack and wrapped the unconscious girl up, she seemed to be unwell and was covered in horrible bruises.
"Even if the Rex is a juvenile it would have woken up after all that noise. There's something off here, this girl isn't normal. The juvenile seems to be guarding her. Could she be a beast tamer? No... that can't be right," Dythar grumbled to himself seeming troubled. He would normally bounce his questions off Arthas but Arthas was currently down for the count. Dythar sighed and started to pace his mind working at a furious pace.
"Beast tamer!?" Arthas growled still trying to gather himself. " You'd have to be at least a level 3 super human to be a beast tamer." Dythar nodded his head the crease between his brows seeming to grow deeper.
"There's no way she's a super human, she would've put up more of a fight. Even if we're both level 2 a level 3 could've easily taken us down." Dythar said. " We are also in quite the predicament, why would the T. Rex guard her is she isn't a beast tamer? and if she is a beast tamer why the heck would the Rex let us near her? It makes no sense..." Dythar gazed at the girl for awhile then suddenly a thought struck him. He squatted down next to her and felt her forehead. " Maybe the T. Rex wanted us to help her?"
"Help her?," Arthas grumbled as he slowly walked over to Dythar wincing with every step he took. Dythar uncovered the girl from the blanket and slowly gazed up and down her body his eye glowing an eerie blue.
"She has broken ribs, busted feet, extreme fatigue, a high fever..." Dythar trailed off as his sight fell on her right arm. " This.." he trailed off as he picked her arm up for a closer look. The girl had a long wound from her inner elbow to her inner wrist, it was covered in gnarly scabs and looked slightly infected. Dythar opened her palm and his eyes widened in shock. " Arthas, come look at this."
"Hmm? This!" Arthas gasped, " isn't that the symbol of the ancient devil race? They've been gone for thousands of years."
"No, it's slightly different. From the documents the devil race always had yellow eyes, the mark was between their eyebrows and they were unimaginably powerful, She could've killed us just by blinking her eyes. There's gold in her marking and in the drawings of old there is no such thing. It's always blood red... just what is she?" Curiosity glowed in Dythar's eyes and Arthas shook his head.
" Are you going to use your ability to heal her? We should reserve our energy and try to escape." Arthas grumbled scowling at the girl.
" You're welcome to try leaving the hollow with a juvenile Rex outside, I guarantee you won't get far. From what i'm guessing the Rex herded us here in the hopes that we will help this girl. We'd have to do that for it to let us leave, if it will let us leave at all."
"Are you insinuating that she's a beast tamer?" Arthas said shocked.
"I can't say anything for sure but the situation seems to be pointing in that direction. The only chance we have to survive is to stay with this girl. The juvenile sees to be guarding her so the chances of it hurting us if we get on the girls good side might be slim. This could also be nonsense and we will all die in the morning." Dythar sighed his gaze never leaving the strange mark on the girls palm.
" I exhausted too much of my energy earlier so the only thing I can heal for now is her busted feet. I'll have to rest before I can attempt to heal more, and if I do heal her I will pretty much be useless if we need to fight." Dythar finally said after silently contemplating for a few minutes, he glanced up at Arthas his facial expression strange.
"Your the one with the brain, do what you think is right. If we die though I'm going to kick your ass in the next life." Arthas sighed as he slumped against the hollow wall, he kept his eyes on the sleeping Rex and seemed to be ready to fight at a moments notice. Dythar nodded and closed his eyes, after a few seconds he seemed to grimace and his face contorted as if in pain. A light blue light shot out of his hands and flew into the girls forehead and Dythar slumped on the ground. He looked extremely pale and sickly, and soon fell asleep. The girl on the ground furrowed her eyebrows and the skin on her feet quickly patched itself up. After her feet resumed their pure white form the girl seemed to relax back into her deep sleep and rolled toward the warm source besides her.
Arthas watched as the girl rolled toward Dythar and burrowed in his back. He had to restrain himself from going over there and pulling Dythar away from the strange girl, he did this to himself. Arthas would wait to see Dythar's reaction when he woke up and make sure to poke fun at him.
"What a shitty day," Arthas sighed as he turned his gaze back on the Rex.
