Chapter 26: Ascend The Throne (Part 1)
'Now then, what should we do? The plant is definitely high on its defense. Maybe if I can get those rabbits to attack first as a distraction... How do I do that? It's not like those rabbits will listen to the command of an enemy too. Let's see, what would the captain do?' While observing the plant, he slowly turns his face towards the captain and looks at him with an eyebrow raised.
'That expression... I don't know for sure, but he looks like he's challenging me. We must show our worth to our king. We, the elites, can't be deemed useless!' The captain sat up straight and puff up his chest fur with a serious expression, carrying an air of a soldier which has fought many battles. "Soldiers! We are born to protect this nest! Those bloody plants have already killed some of our loved ones, we must eliminate it today! I know most of you has your blood absorbed and is feeling weak, luckily we were saved by that hero, now that he's willing to fight with us, let's give it our best fight even if it means sacrificing our own lives! CHARGE!!!" all the rabbits start to dash forward at the command, leaving Lucas confused and speechless.
'Hero? HA! I'M A FREAKING HERO! They must be crazy! Calling the murderer of their royal family a hero! Is it cause they still feeling hypnotic? At least I think they won't attack me now. Woah... They are charging at the plant like their lives worth nothing... Brave soldiers indeed...' Lucas stood there with many expressions, first was the shock, followed by a series of laughing like a madman, slapping his thighs, trying his hardest to stop laughing, but it clearly didn't work.
Rows of black lines appear in front of those rabbits' foreheads, 'Is he laughing at our rashness? How else do we kill this plant? We must destroy the crystal! Sacrifices are unavoidable! Does he have a better plan?'
Lucas continues to observe as the plant slowly opens and extends its vines towards surrounding rabbits, exposing a ball of shiny red ruby. Those rabbits ain't given the term elite soldiers for nothing, they can almost dodge every vine the plant sway at them. Some that did not manage to dodge those attack... well, let's wish them peace... their body was either whipped into two or pierced, it's definitely fatal.
