When Chris woke up, it was the next day and his transformation disappeared.
"Well, I guess the fatigue from the training made me faint," Chris said. When he went downstairs, he saw his mother, father, and Monica at the dining table. His mother smiled and put a plate down at his seat.
"Good morning Chris, come here and eat with us,"
Chris went and sat down. His father looked at him.
"Hey son, I was going to talk to you yesterday, but you were fast asleep. However, I would also like to apologize for what I have done to you. Like your mother said yesterday, I would like to make it up to you and start anew,"
Chris nodded. He finished eating and quickly left the house.
When he got to school, he saw Sarah coming towards him.
"Hey, Chris, you finally know what you want as a reward for getting that 90% on the diagnostic test" She asked with a smile.
Chris thought about it for a few seconds.
"I want to be excused from going to school for a week," Chris said.
"Oh, for a week. What are you planning to do for a week?" Sarah asked even though she knew the answer.
"To train," Chris said.
Sarah's smile turned even bigger.
"Alright, you got it. I'll talk to the school and your tennis coach as well. With my influence, they'll back off of your absences. Well either way, good luck with your training and I hope that you become strong enough so that you won't die fighting Chen Long," Sarah said. "Well, your 1 week break starts now, you can leave the school. You can go to the safehouse that you went to before. It's a good peaceful environment for training,"
Chris left the school and immediately headed towards the safehouse. Meanwhile Sarah headed towards the tennis courts. She looked around and found Coach Elizabeth who was sitting down on a bench.
"Coach Elizabeth!" Sarah cried out.
Coach Elizabeth looked behind.
"Oh, aren't you Miss. Sarah, the new teacher that just officially replaced Mr. Daniels. Welcome to the school!"
"Thank you," Sarah said. " Well, I'm here to ask you something. One of your students Chris Kim just passed my diagnostics test with a 90%. I told the class that anyone that got 90% or higher would get anything that they want as long as it's reasonable. Chris said that he wanted to rest for a week. Would you do me a favor and pardon Chris for a week?"
Elizabeth's smile turned into a frown.
"Huh?! 1 week? Hey, hey, I know that you just came into the school, but we have rules here. Just because you say that you want to pardon a student for a week doesn't mean that the school will let you. Even if they do, I won't. We've got games coming up really soon. If Chris misses any more practices, he will be worse than an amateur,"
"Oh, if you're worried about Chris' tennis skills, don't worry, he'll be fine,"
"On the basis of what Miss. Sarah?" Coach Elizabeth asked.
"On the basis that he has already defeated you before and when he comes back from the week long break, he'll 6-0 you,"
"Beat me? 6-0? Sure, he did defeat me before, but if he doesn't practice for a week, no matter how strong he is, he won't be able to hit a single ball over. Fine, I'll take this bet with you. If I lose to Chris, I'll pardon him from playing whenever he wants to. However, if I manage to get a single game out of Chris, I will never pardon Chris from being absent. You are not allowed to make any excuses whatsoever for Chris,"
"Deal," Sarah said.
As Sarah left, Coach Elizabeth stuck out her tongue. When she saw the other tennis members, she decided to take everything out on them.
"8 laps GO!"
After Sarah exited the courts and entered the building, she went to the principal's office.
In the room was the principal, Mr. Takemiya (vice principal from Chapter 12), and 2 other people.
"Hello, Mr. Principal. Hello, all the vice principals. I'm glad that you're all huddled up in here. It makes it quite convenient for me,"
"Hello, Miss. Sarah. This is your second day of school so if you have anything to ask, come to me or the other people here. We'll help you right away," Mr. Takemiya said.
"Ahh, that is splendid. Thank you very much. Well then, I won't hold back. Principal, I have recently gave my students a diagnostics test. These were college level questions and none of these were simple. I have even given one of my student Chris Kim, a harder test, one that has questions even some college kids can't answer. However, despite the increase in difficulty, Chris was the only one who has managed to get a 90% on the test. I told the class that I'll do whatever they wanted if they got a 90% or higher on the test as long as it is within reason and Chris has asked for a week break. So I came to ask if I can get your approval,"
Before the principal could answer, Mr. Takemiya started shouting.
"Chris Kim?! That problem child got a 90% on a diagnostic test that even college kids might do poorly on. There is no way. Instead of giving him harder ones, aren't you giving him the easiest test so that he can get an award!"
"Hmph, I got proof right here," Sarah said as she went through her bag and found Chris' test. She gave it to the principal who read through it.
"Wow, Miss. Sarah, you have really created extremely difficult questions. This is something that even some teachers here can't solve and Chris did it correctly,"
"What?! Let me see," Mr. Takemiya said as he snatched the test out of the principal's hands.
"Oh, that is... that is..." Mr. Takemiya could not say anything. Before he could finish thinking about it, the principal stated out his judgement.
"He is free to leave for a week,"
"Thank you Principal," Sarah said as she left the room.
'Alright, Chris, I already did the school work for you. So now you're You have to train hard for the week so you don't die,' Sarah said as she went back to her own class.
I'm back guys. I have a bit of a cold, but it's ok chapter is still going up. I hate the AP tests.
