Chapter 6: Transcendent

"Hello Raam, did you do some kid's homework assignment?" Complained Miciah.

"What you talking about? I would never do such a thing! I have a moral standard you know?" Raam retorted.

"So, you did!"

"...Anyway, how has your day been?"

"Raam don't change the topic! You shouldn't do kids' assignments, they have to do it themselves!"

"But I took pity on the kid! Can't I have a giving heart!"

"Yes, but you can't do homework for others."

"Too many restrictions, I like living a life of freedom and impulsiveness."

"If I there in person I would punch you right now!"

"Miciah you shouldn't do that. Violence is not the answer, you should be accommodating towards the person you work for."

"I work for your father, not you, with the job of making sure you don't ruin your life!"

"I thought it was to be his home assistant."

"That too!"

"Also, your next chapter is due tomorrow, did you do it yet?" Miciah reminds him.

"..."

"You forgot didn't you."

"..."

"It is due tomorrow at noon so you better get to work if you want to keep your fans happy. Good luck!" She told him before hanging up.

After around five minutes it finally clicks in Raam's head, "I'm so f***ing screwed!" He ran to his computer and quickly checked where he was in the book before getting to work.

The novel was at its closing point as the main character was in the final fight and the life he has created was drawing to its end. To most people, they already believe the end will be with the main character winning and the villain dying. Raam hates this view and created this novel to go against that plan.

He knew how this novel would end since the opening words of, "Will a hero still be a hero when he fights for the wrong side? Will a villain still be a villain when he ends the world?"

He had gotten multiple complaints for these words as after 100,000 words he had yet to go back to them likely having been forgotten by most original readers. The hero was fated to die in this fight from the moment he started his journey. Raam played the novel out like a classic action novel with very few twists and turns. The novel was only based on foreshadowing, every action was fated to occur in chapter one of the book. He always defined the power of the MC as an insane blinding light while the villain was a comforting darkness.

"The same way it is impossible to see in pitch darkness it is impossible to see in blinding light. You can't see the path of tomorrow when a sun is shining in your face."

The best example Raam would think of would be Icarus a man who flew too close to the sun. Raam's MC tried to be the sun he tried to be the man above everything who was powerful enough to protect those around him. He was invisibly losing himself to that light as his view of the world remained unchanged. The villain was always against the view of the MC but with the MC being the MC people always believed his view was right and sided with him.

"They say a hero never dies. So, does that make me the hero of this story, again? I who side with the darkness while you who stands in blinding light now lay lifeless. Without you, in this world, it is pointless for it to continue, onto the next one where you exist once more."

The villain was the hero's lover in a past life but she had to end his life on a quest for immortality. She travels from world to world and time to time watching him constantly repeat his path of light, the stereotypical life of a hero. Her name had been lost in time but in each world and time, she was always viewed as his final fight, each time losing while never remembering a moment of their time together.

It could be viewed as repentance for believing the power of immortality to be more important than the love she has in front of her. She was now forced for eternity to kill the one she loves over and over again.

"People would say my actions are detestable, but I view this time as a gift for I get to spend my eternity with you even if you're fighting me every moment of it." Being the closing words of the novel.
