Fox shook her head, and said "I can't take this. It's worth too much. You should..". I interrupted her, and said "I already did. I'm giving you this as a friend. Take it, it will help you out". She thought about something for a while, and replied "It's seems, that I'm always getting benefits from you. All I gave you, was some useless speed concoction...".
I replied "I don't think it's useful. Besides, you did help me, when I needed help. I'm returning that good will". I also took out a few bottles of Arran Liquid, and passed them to her, while saying "With your skill level, no wild beasts should be a threat to you. You can still get injured sometimes. This medicine will help you, in case you do". She didn't want to take more, so I added "I have loads more. Take it, it will come useful one day or another".
She nodded after a while, and said "Then let me give you this". Fox took off a necklace from her neck, and handed it to me. I shook my head, and said "There is no need for that. You helped me out, when I needed help. This alone, means a lot to me". She replied a bit angry "I took your stuff, so take it as well!". I was a bit stunned, and took the necklace. 'I didn't think, she could act like this though. She seemed so quiet' I thought.
I had a look at the necklace, and didn't really know what to think about it. I wasn't really the guy, who was interested in jewellery. 'The chain looks normal to me. It might be gold, mixed in with something, but I'm not sure. The chain is attached to some sort of coin?' I thought. It looked like a coin, but a very peculiar one. On one side, was a wolf. On the other side, was some sort of peculiar woman engraved. 'Maybe it's just some kind of symbol. I don't have a clue' I thought, and wore the necklace on my neck.
Fox then continued "Don't lose it, alright?". I nodded my head, and asked "Is this some sort of special necklace?". She replied "It's special to me, but if you are asking about Formations and such. It has none. I thought I will say that, before you try to use it, as some sort of defensive item". I laughed a bit, and said "Alright, I will just wear it then".
Fox nodded her head, and said "When you leave North, visit me in Ortava". I thought about it, and said "Hmmm, I don't know where your Village is. I don't have it on my map". She laughed, and asked "Village? It's a big city. What type of map do you have?". I took out my map, and passed it to her. I then said "This is my map of the Great Forest. There are a few cities on it, but it seems some parts are missing". She took a look for a while, and said "Of course there are some parts missing. To be more exact, about half of it is missing".
I was quite shocked, and asked "Half?". Fox nodded, and replied "Yes, about half. No wonder you don't know, that Ortava is a city. It's actually to the east, where your map ends". I recalled something, and asked "Do you know where Endros Imperial City is?". She nodded her head, and replied "Of course. It's also on the missing part of your map. I will show you where it is". Fox then took out her own map, and showed me.
"This is how the Endrosian Empire looks like?" I asked. Fox nodded, and replied "Yes. It's a big island. The Endrosian Empire, is just part of the island really. The island or rather the continent, is called Perival Continent. We are currently in the North, which doesn't belong to Endrosian Empire. There is another empire, in the southwest. It belongs to Humans as well, but they have different emperor. It's over here". She then pointed at a piece of land, which belonged to another empire. It was called Elysian Empire, and occupied a smaller portion of the continent. In size, it was even smaller than the North.
Looking at the whole Perival Continent for the first time, I finally discovered how the whole empire looked like. Not only that, I learned about another empire in the southwest. I was very excited, so I asked "Can I have a proper look at it? I need to memorize this map!". Fox nodded her head, and said "Sure, go ahead. I can make a raw sketch of it, if you want". I shook my head, and said "Don't worry. My memory is very good". After a long while of staring at the map. I returned it, and said "Great! I memorized it! Who would have guessed, that the Empire looks like this!".
Fox said "Anyone who had access to such thing, from a young age? You must be from somewhere very rural, not to know how the Empire looks like". 'Yea…' I thought, and said "This map alone, is worth more than the medicine I gave you. Now I finally know, where that stupid Imperial City is". She asked "Why were you searching for it?".
I said "Oh? I was just very curious. I knew that it had to be somewhere, but after so many years, I couldn't find a map with its location. I wonder how it looks like?". She laughed a bit, and said "You are indeed different". I didn't mind her comment, and said "It's time for me to leave. I need to take care of something". Fox nodded, and said "Now you know where Ortava is. When you leave the North, come by, I will show you around". I nodded my head, and said "Sure. I will drop by. Take care of yourself Fox. Till we meet next time". "Till next time, Dark Traveller".
I smiled, and left towards Vulture Cliffs. I wasn't sure whether Fox was her real name. She seemed to be full of mysteries, but I had my own share of them too. 'She will be a good ally in the future. Having some friends, is not a bad idea. Especially friends that are strong' I thought.
Bonus chapter of the week. I already made a map, but its going to be available to p.atreons only. Just in case you wanted to ask for one :D
