The pace at which they sent off through the forest was not so fast, but it was enough to force Rie to lean back against the woman. She often found her head cushioned, which was actually quite comfy once she got used to the motion of the horse. The large dog named Bear followed behind, navigating the trail they followed better than the horse itself. It was still a terrifying beast, but she had to admit it was a very agile beast. No wonder it caught her so quickly, she thought. It was certainly a hunting dog, and a very good one at that.
After they were nearing the end of the forest, where the trees grew less densely, the woman said, "Child, do you have a name? It will be easier to address you if you have one." Nodding, Rie answered, "I'm Rie."
"You may call me Izalia," she said, "I am the duchess of House Rozen. But you won't have to worry about all that silliness right now." Rie peered up at Izalia, whose focused gaze was aimed at the road.
This made Rie wonder. A world where the first person to find her is a conveniently generous noble? How much was this like the novels?
She started to compile it all. First, a Truck-kun incident, then, a goddess offering her cheats, and now, a convenient savior of high standing?
Then, she wondered, did she have 'that'?
That plot device of a 'status menu'?
That would be ridiculous, she thought, untill her internal monologue was interrupted by something flashing in front of her.
It was! A status menu!!!
p2 for today.
