Chapter 46: Gossip
"Let's change from the depressing topics, okay? What have you been up to Sam?" Annie diverted the topic, unwilling to make her brother sad.
"I've been acting in a drama."
"What? I thought you were only a model? Hhahah, my brother is OP."
"That's great Sam! What role do you have? I hope this isn't one of those with nudity! You have enough money, keep your dignity!" Sam's mom lectured.
"No,no, don't worry, it's a PG 13 movie. I only take of my shirt sometimes. I'm the second male lead."
Sam's mom huffed. "Taking your shirt still isn't good. But being second male lead is. I'm still so happy for you!"
"Should I join the entertainment industry too?" Annie mused.
"I wouldn't recomend it, the industry is pretty harsh. There's social pressure. Internal competition. Corrupt directors and managers. Not to mention gossip that can ruin your entire career. If you succeed, there will be fame, earnest worshipping, and you will be pretty wealthy. Oh yeah, I forgot one, privacy. I hate paparazzi sometimes, Other times, they are nice. Just a couple bad apples sometimes."
Annie nodded and contemplated for a while. "I think I want to try. If not, I can just go to college, I have the grades."
Sam sighed and looked towards his mom who nodded, giving her permission.
"If you are sure, you can audition to Martin. You can just get accepted and act or model, but stay in school if you want to be with your friends. Or you could go to the academy. "
"I think I'll just stay at my school, it's my last year after all."
Sam nodded. "Mkay. We are not using back doors, you have to have the talent to make it."
"Of course I have the talent!"
He chuckled. "We'll see. I'll ask Martin right now."
Sam: Yo, Martin, can you do me a favor?
Martin: Sure, depends on what it is though. And, no, I'm not going to buy you a Lamborghini.
Sam: :'(
Sam: Can you carry out my sister's audition?
Martin: Why me?
Sam: Auditions are already over, and you are the only one I can bother.
Martin: Tsk. Fine. Next week. Friday. You owe me a box of donuts. If she isn't good, I'm not going to pass her, you know?
Sam: Don't show any favoritism. If she can't make it in showbiz, shut it down now before it gets bad.
Martin: Gasp. Wow. So cruel. >_<
Sam: Tsk. Bye.
Sam put away his phone. "Your audition is next week on Friday. Now that we have that out of the way. Let me tell you all about the people you need to avoid, or people I'm friendly with."
"Smith blackmails trainees into sex."
"Mario does date rape. Also drugs."
"Samantha. Really nice on the outside, but she is very 2 faced."
"Grace, Marianne, Ajax, Jace, Dominic, Belladonna, Allison, and Ashton are my good friends. Some of them, especially Ajax and Ashton are a bit rowdy."
"Charlotte is weird around me for some reason. I have no idea what I did."
