Chapter 45: Nice job + a visit to home
Sam and Draven walked back to the changing rooms together, their scenes for the day over. The silence was palpable and Sam was jittery.
"It's nice to meet you again, Jupiter," Draven said, making Sam jump a little.
"Yeah, it's been around 4 years. I'm surprised you still remember me."
"I have pretty good memory." (Author: A.K.A, I would never forget you, my love.)
"How far back can you remember?"
"I can remember things up to when I was four. It gets a little bit fuzzy in the earlier years."
Sam's eyes widened, "And I don't even remember 6th grade clearly."
"That's still pretty, good, I have one friend who can only remember to 10th grade."
"Is he older?"
"Nope, in fact, he is one year younger than me. Anyways, you did really good, have you acted before? "
"I've never acted professionally, and only took courses in the academy."
"That's impressive."
"Heheh, I know." Sam struck a cheesy pose.
Draven chuckled a little, his impassive face loosening and brightening up.
"So, why do you act?" Draven questioned.
"Hm. I act so that I can create a world people can escape to. Sometimes, the real world isn't so nice, and you just want to get away from it all, even if it is just for a little bit."
After his parents had divorced, movies and books were the only way, Sam could distract himself from his new reality.
"You sure, it's not just for the money and hot chicks?" Draven joked.
Sam sighed, "You caught me, I do it for the hot models. They come running at me in hordes. I also like to bathe in pools of gold sand every week."
"Extravagant. I only bathe in gold once a month. " Draven played along, his face serious.
The two bantered back and forth, their relationship elevating from awkward to friendly, until they reached their changing rooms and headed in to change out of their costumes.
Sam had to have a couple helpers to take off his armor because of all the pieces. Thankfully, it was easier to remove the costume than it was to put on. After a make up wipe was run over Sam's face to remove the touch ups, Sam was ready to leave. Today he would get to visit his mom and baby sister~(๑♡3♡๑)
Soon, Sam's car pulled up to his mom's house. His sister came running out of the house and hugged Sam tightly. They hugged each other for a couple of seconds before Sam pulled away to look at his sister.
"Oh? Did my sister get prettier again?"
Annie smirked cutely," Huehue. Yes I did!"
"I missed you when I was in Germany."
"It wasn't even that long of a break. Only a couple weeks."
"It still felt like forever, my cute lil sis."
Annie pouted. "Stop calling me cute, you're only 4 years older than me."
"Wellll, technically, 5 years for a couple more months."
"Hmph. Whatever, just get into the house already, mom's waiting for you."
As soon as Sam entered the house, he was smothered with kisses.
"Mom, momma, stop." His word were muffled under the onslaught of motherly love. Only after 5 more pleas did Sam's mom stop.
"Oh, my baby, how have you been? What was it like in Germany? What's with all the gossip online? Why did you suddenly tell everyone you were bi? Didn't you say you wanted to wait?"
Sam patiently waited until the barrage of questions was over to answer.
"I've been doing fine. Germany was really nice, I went sight seeing and took a couple of pictures. (Not gonna even mention the bar) As for the gossip, well, I'm no longer friends with Daniel."
His mom and sister were shocked. "But aren't you guys best friends?"
"Yeah, but apparently, he's jealous and hates just being known as my friend."
Annie patted Sam's shoulder sympathetically. "What a twist. I didn't expect that."
Sam's mom shook her head. "I sort of had a gut feeling it wouldn't last forever. It started when he broke up with Alex when he reached stardom. Then, he got together with many different starlets. He changed."
