Sam struggled to hide his nervousness. After all, he had a scene with Draven later. A general greeting his prince and carrying out orders.
Sam strode down the corridor, power in each step, and stopped in front of a door. The camera behind him did a close up on his handsome face, it was hard not to since Sam's looks were godly.
"Come in, general," a low, captivating voice said from the other side of the door.
Sam pulled the door open and stepped inside, closing the door. Draven, the prince, was sitting at a table that had a delicious looking spread of food on it.
He began to kneel when the prince spoke. "I do not care for formalities when we are alone. Speak."
Sam resumed his standing position, at this point he was completely in character and was not afraid of Draven.
"Your majesty, expect your 7th brother's gift when you go out."
Draven's lips curled in distaste. "Does he not know his place? Has he not heard about the 9th prince?"
"Fools will forever be fool unless you teach them."
He smiled evilly. "I suppose that the 7th prince will have to learn his lesson. The hard way."
"Do you have orders for me?"
"Yes, intercept them and send their heads back to the 7th prince. Of course, you must wrap it properly. Make it look nice. He'll think it's a gift!"
Sam nodded, his face expressionless. "As you command. Anything else?"
"Why don't you stay and chat for a while? It has been a long time since we talked."
"Sure."
Sam sat down on the chair opposite Draven.
"So, how did it go with that new interest of yours?"
Sam sighed sadly. "I was going to begin courtship when I realized that she had a few qualities that I just could not accept."
"What were those qualities?"
"She spends money like water and seems to have no concept of how hard it is to make it. She is spoiled and abuses servants for the smallest things."
"There aren't many pretty noble women without those qualities. Perhaps a few, but not enough."
"You won't ever have to worry about your wives. They'll come flocking, and you can have your pick."
Draven laughed. "Hah. All of them are power hungry, gold hungry, pretty faced liars. And I'm sure you have many admirers. With your connections, powers, and looks. It should be easy."
"Sadly, it is not."
"I'm sure we could find ourselves a lady, and train her."
"Then they would be more of a pet than a wife."
"No, people love their pets, but not their wives."
"Ah, I remember something. There was a flood in a merchant city. Many nobles lived there, and are now moving here. Perhaps there will be a few new ladies."
Draven nodded. "Maybe, it will change the trending air-headedness."

Now, a note that didn't fit in the author's thoughts.
If I ever reach 2k collections, I will be so happy and possibly do a mass release or smth like that. Same with top 50, but I doubt that will ever happen. I dream of having 99+ comments on every chapter. I dream of owning a really nice car and house. I dream of world domin- *cough*
Okay nevermind. I just rambled.
But yeah, I've got lofty aspirations.
I'm thinking of writing a zombie apocalypse novel. Lots of gore. Little to no romance. Mostly action. To put it simply, the themes will be dark.
Also, for this book, do you want romance, journey to the top, or face slapping? For clarification, ask in the comments.

Pls vote. I beg
Sort of short because of the zombie story mentioned. And because I hastily typed this up before I had to draw. And because I feel guilty. But hey, I'm going to feel worse because of finals, but I feel sorry for the people with AP exams.
