Since Isabella and Dana joined our little group the general mood has improved a lot, Dana is always happily playing around with Dante, and Isabella's food was delicious. Before we were more scattered too, G spent a lot of time trying to make stuff that could make our life easier, Hayley was busy training and had to be alone because of the aura.
Now Hayley can control it so she can be with us, and G will just try to build something only if there is something we need so we can share a lot more time together. Also, I think that Jamie's death gave everyone more peace than what we thought it would, it's true that he wasn't the brightest, but with his power, it was a time bomb that could blow up in any moment.
With while I was out G and Hayley created a place to store frozen food, Hayley will just freeze everything a couple of times during the day to keep the temperature under 0°C. Thanks to that the goats I hunted were going to stay fresh, G also tried to make dry meat, but it didn't work that well.
We were eating F-Rank goat meat. It didn't have any effect like I thought at the beginning. But it was delicious.
After thanking Isabella for the food, I went to rest in the couch, followed by Rose. She lay down on the sofa and rested her head on my lap. I caressed her hair while she read the light novel she got.
Meanwhile, I relaxed and started to look around trying aura reading and Psychometry. I had no problems with aura reading. Dante had a grey aura, and now I could see multiple threads going around. His aura strength was the strongest I had seen until now, but it lacked the mysteriousness that Rose's aura had.
Dana had specks of light around her in different tones, mainly white and green but I could see a couple of yellow. Isabella had an aura, but it was a barely visible grey aura. I wondered about the colors and its meanings, but with the information I had, there was no way to know if there is a relation between the color or form and the power.
I touched my knife next. It had an almost unnoticeable aura.
For psychometry to work, I must be in contact with the object.
At that moment I have a vision, an automatized industry and how the knife was made, packed and transported to the place I find it. Then I got similar visions of the moment I used it. It was not like a movie, it was like the memories were imprinted for a moment on my head. I let the knife go, and at that moment, the memories I got turned fuzzy. I didn't forget everything, but for example, before I could see details that now are not that clear, like the brand of the machines were it was done, or the face of the salesman when he tried to sell it to a guy a month ago.
But the overall history of the knife was still there.
It was an unusual power. I thought about it for a while I could see that around the house were some object that had a barely noticeable aura, so the effect should be similar.
"Hey Rose, can you bring Mr. Cuddles?"
"Mmm? Sure but what for?"
"I'm trying psychometry, I tried with the knife but since it's too new it was too simple, I think that an object with more years and a stronger connection with someone would have more stories and the aura would be stronger."
I noticed that she blushed.
"I don't mind but… Mr. Cuddles was on my room all the time wouldn't you see me naked if you see it?"
I didn't think about it… did she said that she doesn't mind?!?
I feel my cheeks burn.
"Oh sorry … I didn't think of that…"
I wasn't sure how to respond she said she doesn't mind, but I don't want her to think that I'm a pervert… and if I saw her naked, I prefer not to be a teddy bear memory, and if it becomes a fuzzy memory like some of the ones I got from the knife it would be a nightmare… imagine seeing your girlfriend naked and then forgetting it? No thanks.
"I will try it with something else."
I saw that she seemed a little sad because of my answer, so I shared my last thoughts with her.
'I prefer to see it myself in the future than through the eyes of a teddy bear in a memory that I may forget.'
I hear her gasp in surprise and blush. She smiled at me, she answered my thought with the same that she told me before.
'I don't mind.'
You know? Empathy and Share Thoughts are a fantastic tool to flirt without anyone noticing, so we kept doing it, but the things were escalating a little faster than it should, so we decided to continue later when we are alone because Dana was around playing with Dante.
Wait… Where is Dante? Dana was on the floor reading a comic alone.
"Dana? Where is Dante?"
"He said he is a secret mission~, and you can't be mad with them~."
Mad at them?...
You have to be kidding me.

Half an hour before. (Dante's POV)
'Good job Dana~!' I was playing with dana while explaining her a little about the different types of animals.
"Yey!!" she hugged me happily and started to touch my paws.
'Dante are you busy?' Hope's voice suddenly came to my head.
'I was playing with Dana~, why~?'
'Together with Hayley and Gerhard we want to go hunt but Spence said that he wanted to rest, but we want to try, and if you come with us, we should be safe.'
'Ok, I'll tell him that I'm going then~.'
'No! Don't tell him, he is not going to like it, and we will probably end up staying at home, just tell Dana that you are going in another secret mission, he has no right to be mad at us anyway.'
'Yeah, I don't want to interfere anyway, he is busy flirting with Rose~…'
'See you on the first floor.'
'Dana I have to go for a while, read the comic you got in the meantime.'
'Ok~.'
'If Spencer asks for me tell him that~ I'm in a secret mission and he doesn't have the right to be mad with us~, ok~?'
'Yes~, secret mission, and don't get mad~.'
I left the apartment and went to the first floor.
There Hayley, G, and Hope were waiting for me.
G had the hammer on his hands, and both girls brought the crossbows. Hope had more bolts with her that Hayley.
"Ready?"
'Yes, ~.'
It was a weird feeling, after spending time with everyone, besides Spencer, I think that the only one that should be able to coordinate a group is Rose.
I let them move on their own while keeping most of the beast at bay. I let a goat slip through for them to kill it. The goat charged at them, Hope was nervous, and she aimed and shot the second she noticed it, the bolt wasn't even near it.
G had a fight before so he was a little more relaxed but I could feel his insecurities, Hayley was comparing the goat to the alligator she and Spencer saw back then. This helped her relax too. She was trying to focus in the goat and freeze a part of it, but she couldn't aim too well because it was a little faster than she thought.
Hope was trying to reload the crossbow, but with her strength it was difficult.
I sighed and took the situation in my paws.
'Hope, the crossbow has a space for you to place your foot, yes like that and now with both hands pull.'
When she practiced before she was able to reload with a faster method without putting it on the floor, but because of her nerves, she failed to do it that way. Hayley was getting closer and was trying to predict the goat movements, but since this was her first time doing it, she had it rough.
'G, you are forbidden to attack until Hope and Hayley hit it~.'
"What?" He was ready to swing the hammer, but since I forbid him to do it, and for some reason, he listened to me and changed to a more defensive stance. No, I didn't influence any of them, but this was their first real battle, so they need someone to tell them what to do…
I started instructing them, especially G on how to defend from what I have seen Spencer do. Hayley's second try was a little off, but she was correcting it and was able to slow down the goat a little.
On the fourth bolt that Hope shot she missed barely because the Goat made a weird movement at the last second.
The battle took a while but thanks to Hayley the goat was slowed, and Hope's fifth bolt hit it after that G was already mad at the goat and he hit the goat on the side with the hammer.
At this moment I heard Spencer's voice.
'Keep them safe, if something happens, call me.'
The three of them were happy giving high fives to each other, after killing the goat…
I didn't want to ruin it by telling them that it was a normal goat, but this was their first step.
Thanks to everyone for supporting EsPerS.
