Chapter 8: Battle Royale Pt. 3
The battle had begun and David was set on finding those 2 people to fight them.
However before that, a familiar face came to challenge David.
"Hi Peasent, I will destroy you!" The one named Zexter said with a smirk.
"I'm in a bit of a rush right now, so I'll make it quick!" David replied which caused fumes to come out of Zexter's ears.
"You're going to get it!!" Zexter pulled out his gun and started shooting.
Suddenly a teacher popped out of no where and disarmed him.
The Dean then said loudly, "Sorry! Sorry! My bad, I forgot to mention guns are not allowed, it's just I didn't think any of you would actually use one, or be dumb enough to use one in this circumstance."
"Pfttttt..." Hearing what the Dean said, David started to like him more and more. Casually saying some rules while subtly roasting an idiot.
After all that was over, Zexter took the chance to surprise David by using <Fireball>.
David counterattacked by using <Push> to disintegrate the fireball and used <Flash Step> to get in front of Zexter.
All of a sudden, Zexter shouted, "WITNESS MY POWER!"
David suddenly felt like he became much heavier as he struggled to remain standing up.
David then hurriedly used <Flash Step> to get as far away as possible.
After he escaped, he suddenly felt light again.
"Sh*t, he can increase the effects of gravity! At least it has some sort of radius!" David thought to himself, slightly relieved.
David repeatedly used <Flash Step> to escape Zexter and went to a spot with no one.
David the sat down on the ground and closed his eyes, this peaked the interests of everyone but only a short while for the other students as they had to focus.
Zexter thought David was afraid so he walked step by step towards David, as if he was trying to scare him.
"<Zap> is a beginner spell, it shouldn't take long right?" David thought to himself.
David took deep breathes and imagined himself being in a thunderstorm where fast and ferocious lightning were striking all around him.
Afterwards, David imagined a magical beast walking towards him and held out his fist, all 5 fingers up.
David then put all his fingers down except for his index and middle finger.
He pointed his fingers at the beast and imitated the actions for <Zap>
A bolt of lighting then flew out his fingers and struck the beast.
Immediately after that, David stood up and looked at Zexter who was now not too far away from him, but far enough for the gravity effects to not reach.
"Oh? Do you want to beg for mercy?" Zexter asked.
"Nopes." Saying this, David used his power and made roots extend out of the ground and held Zexter in place.
Afterwards, he used <Zap> on Zexter who was flabbergasted.
"Argh!" Zexter cried out.
However since Zexter was still not doing too bad, no teachers came to interfere yet.
David looked up to where the Dean was and held out his index and middle finger to Zexter, indicating to him that they should bring him out.
The Dean nodded
This time, the Dean personally came and took Zexter out but before that he looked at David and said, "Good job!"
David replied with a "Thanks!" and continued his search for those 2 people.
"That boy! He is truly extraordinary! He managed to be flexible and thought of genius plans to overcome the difficulties he faces. He even did one of the most outrageous things I have ever seen! Even though it was just a basic spell, he learned a spell in the heat of the battle and more than that, he used his memory of someone using that spell to learn it! That man has taught him well..."
"What?!" David was shocked when his Katana suddenly unsheathed itself and started to attack him.
David hurriedly grabbed its handle and resisted the force that was controlling his Katana.
"Woah...!" David shouted out as he used <Flash Step> to get out of the way of a sword flying at him.
As soon as David saw who was controlling the swords, he used his skill and made the roots hold his leg.
However, the brown-haired boy cut off the roots with ease and used <Water Shot> at David.
A stream of pressured water started flying towards David at an extremely fast pace.
David used <Flash Step> and swung his sword at the boy who hurriedly jumped back, saving him from a bad wound and just leaving him with a small scratch.
However the boy could never have guessed that David was expecting it and used <Flash Step> the same time he jumped back.
"Crap!" The boy exclaimed as he saw the Katana about to hit him.
"Okay! That's enough! The black-haired teacher David had seen at the school gate appeared and held David's hand in place, preventing his hands from going any lower.
Afterwards, he immediately healed the small scratch in the brown-haired boy's arm and took him away.
As David scanned the battlefield, he found only 3 more people remained, himself and the 2 people he was trying to find.
Those 2 people were currently going head to head in an intense battle and David wanted to join in on the fun.
David dashed to where they were fighting and jumped into the battle.
When Jack was in the air, David captured this opportunity to fire a <Zap> at him.
"Hey! Teaming against me? That's no fair!" Jack replied as he did back flip to avoid the attack.
"Who says we are teaming?" The red haired girl replied as she coated her Rapier in flames as she dashed and thrusted it out towards David.
"Oooh rejected!" Jack teased.
David ignored him and made a root appear out of the ground and made the running warrior trip and fall.
However before David could do anything else, Jack used <Mud Shot> and started charging in with his battle axe and aimed for David.
David had wanted to use <Flash Step>, but it didn't work.
With no other options, David took out his 2 Katanas, blocked the axe and slid underneath it.
"Sh*t! I must have ran out of energy! I focused so much on increasing it! But I guess everything has its limits!" David thought to himself while he was sliding.
As he was sliding, he took the chance to use one of his legs to kick Jack's legs causing him to lose balance for awhile.
David then retreated to take a breather.
David, Jack and the red-haired girl stood in a triangle formation, all of their faces were filled with satisfaction from the thrill of the battle.
However all of them were visibly very tired and knew they had to finish it.
David held his Katanas
Jack clutched onto his Mace
The girl positioned her rapier for battle.
"Before we do this, let me tell you my name! The name's Esta! Esta Loius!" The girl said as she dashed foward, giving herself an early headstart.
David and Jack were slightly startled but immediately followed suit soon after.
"HIYAAAA!"
David, Jack and Esta has all finished their final hit.
"Boom!" Esta was the first to fall, the teacher immediately came in, healed her wounds and took her out.
"Argh!" David was about to collapse but used both his hands and his Katanas to support himself.
Jack slowly limped towards David, wanting to give one final punch.
However while executing the punch, the punch lost all of it's little bit of power half-way and Jack collapsed onto the ground.
"AND THE WINNER IS DAVID!!" The Dean shouted.
