Davis and Nyoran headed south.

After all, to the east was a human settlement, and to the west was a magical beast wildland. It wouldn't do well for him to attract both forces.

So they headed south, where it apparently met an ocean, but the shore and a few kilometers ahead belonged to a poisonous sea beast, so no one headed there, not even the crimson scorpion as it was afraid of a certain entity there, not because there was a powerful existence but because it was beaten black and blue by that existence in its childhood.

Apparently, it had yet to take revenge and had been biding its time to conquer the Great Desolate Plains first and appear coolly in front of it in order to intimidate it into submission.

Davis could imagine a whole story from that, and it made him once again see there were whole lives involved in these magical beasts.
