Chapter 73: Kamikaze

Back to the time where the holy alliance dispatches their soldiers to the Henson Kingdom upon knowing that their representatives have been killed.
"CHARGE!!! Do not give any mercy to these traitors!"
The army consists of only five thousand members but with the help of the few priests that accompany them, they become unstoppable. No magic could pass through their barrier at the same time each and every member of the holy alliance army are equipped with powerful enchantment.

There are only two but together no common soldiers could defend or protect themselves when they got hit. Furthermore, almost everyone has been transferred inside the portal thus it only took half an hour for them to be able to get inside the Kingdom.
"Halt!"
Upon entering, all of them were stunned. They didn't expect to be confronted with silence thus the commander of the holy alliance deem it is a trap and stop everyone from taking any more step.
"Gramps, check the surrounding if there any soldiers or common people hiding among these buildings."
"I am getting to it."
He knew it would take a long time in order to check if there are ambush ahead but he still did it as he wants to make sure that there are no more casualties. He doesn't mind having casualties but it is so that he could be praised by the high-ranking people within the Holy Alliance.
"Come forth holy spirits! Help to check the surroundings."
Even though the gramps called it holy spirits, from a different point of perspective, a yellow circlet illuminates around him got enlarge and spread to his surroundings. It took quite a while for him to activate the magic power but the advantage is huge, it covers fifty kilometers around him and he knows anything that is within the surrounding.
It can be used to counter ambush but recommend not to use for scouting as other people are able to see the magic and would know where it is coming from.
"So how is it, Gramps?"
"Ninety-five percent of the people in the kingdom has disappeared left with the nobles that still reside within their premises."
"F*ck! Is there any time explosion located around the kingdom?"
"None, but the water in the fountain and the well has been poisoned. Furthermore, there aren't much food resources left within the kingdom."
"Damn them! Gramps do you know where did they go?"
"They might be inside the forest of death, it is not confirmed but my magic spirits isn't able to pass through a specific location. It is shaped like a dome."
"Got it. Thanks, gramps! Alright everyone listens up! Unfortunately, the kingdom of cowards and traitor has managed to escape from their demise but don't you worry there are a couple of nobles that still resides within the kingdom. Let's get them, you are not allowed to die and remember any loot that you find will be inspected by me first! You know me! Come on let's go!"
"HOORAY!!"
A surge of happiness overwhelm the situation as they are glad to not have anyone else to fight but now they can bully the rest of the people in the kingdom. Initially, all of them has accepted to die for the holy alliance. No matter how powerful their equipment and the unstoppable healing power from their priest, they are fighting against a population of half a million.
The strategy for the battle today is self-destruction. Their job is to protect the priest till they are within the important location from where they would retreat and leave the priest alone. From what they know, each of the priests is equipped with a powerful accessory that would explode when they are killed.
They didn't expect the holy alliance to do such actions but who are they to defy orders. Anyone that is suspected to betray or show any sign of cowardice are immediately eliminated.

They took one day to take over the whole kingdom. The reason why it took longer than anticipated is that of the nobles huge mansion and farms that have multiple secret entrances and places for them to escape if need be.
Only after each and every escape exit has been found did they decide to perform the attack. The attack happens during early morning around two. A few of the soldiers are deployed to do stealth attacks and allow the rest of the army to get inside the mansion.
The priest would then spread out sleeping power, usually used to treat patients and numb the patient from any pain. Hence this way, even if anyone got slash or stab, they wouldn't feel any pain till they die.
Sounds merciful until they find any women in the scene. All of them are place in the secret room where the commander is present. He will check each and every loot. Any living being was stripped naked and nobody cares about status. Any ugly women that didn't get chosen would be thrown to the cell. From there their priest would start their experiments on them.
If they know about the noble's family, they would blackmail and torture each of them. Once all of them reveal any of the loots that they missed they will allow them to have sex with each other and slowly they will join them.

One week.
In just one week, the army of the holy alliance is satisfied with what they had found within the Henson Kingdom. Except for the ones that manage to survive the experiments performed by the priest the rest of the living beings were killed.
"Hahahaha let's go back, boys!"
"Woohoo!!"
The commander is satisfied, even though he isn't able to kill any important people within the Henson Kingdom. They are able to chase all of them away from the Kingdom and at the same time has managed to have fun with various women. Nobles daughter, wife, maids and even beautiful slaves. This is his favorite outing after all. He even felt sad for killing them as he intends to keep them due to how beautiful they were.
Before they leave the kingdom, he sent his men to spread oil everywhere around the kingdom, including the nobles that they had attacked. It is so that if the Henson Kingdom by chance came back, there would be nothing left for them.
He even stationed ten of his men including one priest to stick around the location and order them to come back after one week has passed. The priest is also given a messenger bird that could turn invisible so that no one would find out.

The troops were celebrating away as it is rare for them to be deployed thus they would give their very best to enjoy before they go back to the holy alliance. As within the holy alliance compound, they are forced to train their bodies and if anyone found out that they have been slacking they will be punished.
Minor punishment from having no food for a day while the major punishment is execution. It is no surprised for them to have their best friend to suddenly disappear. It is common for them. Hence, for them, there is no such thing as a relationship. It is so that if anyone in their troops dies or disappear they would not feel anything other than knowing about it. As they enjoyed themselves at the camp. Without anyone noticing, a cloud of fog slowly covered the whole camp.
They only discovered about it when the fog had already trapped them in their camps.
"Gramps! Are you able to make this fog disappear?"
The gramps slowly shook his head from side to side.
"It seems that a powerful demon is targeting us. I suggest that we wait till the next morning before we perform any kind of plan. It is not recommended to take action now as we are in a disadvantaged situation because of nightfall."
"Thanks, Priests! I want the whole camp covered in the barrier. As a practice, you guys take turns. For the rest of you, go take rest. I need each and every one of you to be present tomorrow morning well rested. We will be fighting against a powerful demon that is targeting us."
The soldiers nodded their heads and immediately go back to their tents to rest. They didn't realize that by going inside the tent and not having any guards to protect the priest is their worst mistakes.
For the first few hours, everything is coming along fine and the priest was diligently taking turns to create the barrier while another group is resting but upon midnight a huge explosion took place.
It happened right within the circle of the priest. Most importantly, because of the fact that all of them are near each other. Whenever any of the priests die one more explosion happen. Hence from far, it sounds like explosions happen in a domino effect.
The most deadly for them is that the holy barrier had disappeared. By the time the last explosion sounded, every soldier were wide awake and surprised about what had just happened.
"What the f*ck….GRAMPS!"
