Chapter 3: The Living Dead.
The icy gaze sent a sudden chill through XiaoAi's spine.....at first she thought she was hallucinating..... this situation was too much like a dream for her with the warmth of the sunlight falling on the beautiful face with jet black eyes, it was all too perfect but when that man gestured everyone to go out of the room with his right hand, XiaoAi came back to her senses and composed herself as she tried to accept the beautiful but distant reality in front of her .
"Hello Li Ai, long time no see", said the man with a mesmerizing voice but with a taunting tone.
XiaoAi thought to herself 'How is this even possible?.....how is he even alive?...Is he really whom I think he is'.
Seeing the confused look on her face the man spoke once again but this time his eyes were filled with hatred,
"Oh! seems like someone here cannot believe their own eyes...you must be thinking how am I still alive after you yourself left me at that place all alone to die".
XiaoAi said in an unsure tone, "Lu Xiang.....its you.....you are alive but how?.....", before she could continue Lu Xiang spoke again with a hint of disappointment in his eyes,
"You must be really upset to see me alive", Lu Xiang taunted with an icy cold voice which matched extremely well with his devious smile.
"Lu Xiang your eyes.... They are black now.....What happened to you?....Why did you not inform me that you were alive?", cried XiaoAi with pain reflecting in her low voice.
"Why so you could complete your unfinished mission by killing me again?...Do you think I am an idiot",Lu Xiang could not believe the woman in front of her ...even after doing what she did to him she still had the guts to ask these question.
After realizing the whole situation and the conditions she was in back then and the promises she made, XiaoAi sat on the luxurious bed resisting the pain her body was in to speak to Lu Xiang.
She asked Lu Xiang in an indifferent tone than his "What is this place?.....How am I even here?"
Lu Xiang replied in an evil tone " You don't need to know how you got here", after a short pause he resumed his sentence " What you have to remember is that as long as you are here you, XiaoAi, are my wife and you cannot escape this reality no matter how much you try".
After completing what he had to say Lu Xiang dashed out of the room leaving a completely dumbstruck XiaoAi in the room all alone. She was cursing her cruel fate in her mind which reunited her with her only love but under such devious conditions. She was not even sure if she should cry or laugh at the situation she was in.
She wanted to go out of the room and clear all the doubts she had but as she tried to get of the bed she felt a heart wrenching pain all over her body and she drifted to a deep sleep as she closed her eyes unable to keep them open for any longer.

When XiaoAi came back to her senses it was already night.
After such a long rest XiaoAi felt that her strength was almost back to normal but there were still a few traces of pain in her body.
Not long after the door of the bedroom opened with a creak sound and the enchanting man appeared it front of her once more. This confirmed that whatever happened in such a short time was not a lie.
As XiaoAi was coming to terms and trying to calm her heart down an unreasonable request from Lu Xiang brought her whole world crashing down under his feet.
Only these mere four words sent a shock combined with fear to her already hurting heart.
"Take off your clothes", Lu Xiang said these words as if it was an extremely normal thing to say which sent XiaoAi breaking into cold sweat out of confusion of what to do and what not to do.
He spoke again but this time with a seductive tone " Each and every piece of cloth on your body".
Seeing that XiaoAi was resistant to what he said, LuXiang slowly walked towards the bed and before she knew it all of her clothes were torn off her body.
Her body shivered in fear as her hands covered her exposing parts but not long after her hands were forcefully held above her head as a rough kiss was planted on her lips by Lu Xiang...As she started losing her breath their lips parted leaving traces of blood on XiaoAi's lips.
Soon she felt a heavy weight on her body making it impossible for her to escape and with it came a dreadful pain as XiaoAi felt like her body was breaking into pieces.
Unable to endure the pain any longer she cried in a low voice as if it was hard even for the words to escape from her throat " LuXiang.....stop.....please.....it hurts".
Even after her cries Lu Xiang did not stop until she felt a liquid dripping on her body.....it was her blood, the stitches on her abdomen were open and blood was oozing out of the wound.
Lu Xiang saw this scene and it was as if he realized what he was doing and his eyes got filled with pain and guilt as he came to a stop.
He immediately went to the cabinet and bought a small first aid kit and a towel. He used the towel to pressure the wound and stop the blood flow but as he did so a small cry escaped XiaoAi's mouth as she tried to endure the pain by clenching her teeth and grabbing the bed sheet tightly.
Seeing her condition was like a knife stabbing through his heart after all seeing the one you love in pain even if you hate them at the same time is the most difficult thing to endure and it is more painful if you know that you are the one to cause the pain.
He gently but at a fast pace sewed the open wound, it was thanks to all those years of his training as a soldier that he was able to help her through her pain.
As he closed the first aid box he saw XiaoAi in a painful state, her tears which she was controlling for so long flowing endlessly from her eyes mixed with her sweat was flowing off her face.
Her body unable to endure the cluster of pain was moving up and down unsure of what to do to make this pain fade away.
Lu Xiang saw this and his eyes became moist yet he did not lose his icy cold composure . He knew that moving around so much will make her body stress more and is not good for her even if she was a trained assassin the combined pain from her wounds because of the explosion and what all happened today was too much for her to handle.
XiaoAi who was dying because of the pain felt her pain fade away as two arms gently pulled her in an embrace. It was Lu Xiang.....As she tried to say something but was unable to Lu Xiang without exposing his true feelings and nature ordered her in a calm but cold manner"Sleep....whatever you want to say can be said tomorrow".
Hearing what Lu Xiang said she immediately closed her eyes and in a short while drifted off to sleep.
Seeing her sleep soundly Lu Xiang also closed his eyes while making sure that they both were covered in a blanket and ensuring that she was sleeping comfortably.
