Chapter 267: Dragon’s Scale (X)

Hui Lan sprang up from her sleep but was instantly hit by immense dizziness. She could hear loud thumping sounds inside her head that were driving her crazy.

Her vision was blurry and from time to time, she felt the urge to vomit.

Despite the unbearable pain, Hui Lan could not do anything about it as her hands were both tied up behind her. No matter how much she tried to squeeze her hands out, the robe didn't budge.

Hui Lan heaved a long sigh and decided to save her energy.

A gust of wind blew past her face and cleared some of the dizziness away. She slowly began searching for the source of the wind, but it was to no avail. Her surroundings were pitch dark. It was even darker than being under the night sky.

A strange tune of someone humming could be heard from a distance and soon grew louder as the person drew closer. Followed by loud clanking noises from some sort of metal.

At first, the melody was soothing to the ears.
