Chapter 2: At school

"What is this sentient blood that you speak of?" Mark asked the voice.

"It is a rare and powerful blood that is passed down through certain monster clans. It is alive and has its own consciousness, and it can grant its host tremendous strength and abilities. It is what sets you apart from other monsters," the voice explained.

"So, this blood inside of me is like a living being?" Mark asked, still trying to wrap his head around this new information.

"Yes, it is a part of you now, and it will guide you on your journey as a monster. But be warned, the sentient blood is not to be taken lightly. It can be a dangerous and volatile force if not properly controlled," the voice warned.

Mark took a moment to digest this new information. He had a lot to think about and decide on. He knew that this journey as a monster would not be easy, but he also knew that he had to embrace his new identity and use it for good.

"I understand," Mark said, determined to make the most of his new powers and abilities. "I will do my best to control this sentient blood and use it for good. Thank you for your guidance."

"You are welcome, young one. I have faith in you," the voice said before fading away.

Mark took a deep breath and left the underground dungeon, ready to face whatever challenges came his way as a monster.

Mark lay awake in his bed, his mind racing with thoughts of the future. As a newly awakened monster, he knew that he would have to be careful to avoid drawing attention to himself. He would have to find a way to feed on human flesh without being caught, and he would have to be wary of any humans who might try to hunt him down.

But even as he worried about these dangers, Mark couldn't help feeling excited about the new abilities and powers he had gained. He had always been a bit of an outcast, never quite fitting in with the other kids at school. But now, he had the strength and endurance of a monster, and he knew that he could easily outdo any of his classmates in a physical competition.

As he lay there, lost in thought, Mark suddenly remembered something that his ancestor, Long, had said: "Idiot! My name translates to dragon! I came from the almighty lineage of dragons that roam the western sky of ancient times."

At the time, Mark had been too confused and overwhelmed to fully comprehend what Long meant, but now he realized that he was not just a werewolf, but the descendant of a powerful dragon. This revelation filled him with a sense of pride and excitement, and he knew that he would have to find a way to harness and control his dragon powers in order to survive in this dangerous new world.

With this determination burning inside him, Mark finally drifted off to sleep, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

The next day at school.

As Mark entered the classroom, he couldn't help but notice the beautiful girl sitting at the front of the class. She had snow-white skin and a cold demeanor that kept others at a distance. Everyone called her the "goddess of the school" and nobody dared to try and get close to her, afraid of the wrath of her admirers.

Mark, however, couldn't help but be drawn to her. Ever since he laid eyes on her last year, he had a huge crush on her. He sat down in his chair and daydreamed about being with her.

As class began, Mark paid attention to the teacher, determined to outperform Rose and show her that he was the man for her. But as he sat there, he couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching him. He looked around the room and saw that Rose was staring at him.

"Why is she looking at me?" Mark wondered to himself.

The strange sensation disappeared as quickly as it had come. Mark couldn't help but wonder if Rose had something to do with it. He had read in some novels about a feeling called "killing intent" and he couldn't shake the feeling that that's what he had just experienced.

"Is Rose trying to kill me?" Mark thought to himself. "Is she some kind of enemy or monster?"

Despite his confusion, Mark tried to act normal and not draw any attention to himself. He didn't want to make any sudden movements that might alarm the other party. He wasn't sure if Rose was also a monster of some kind.

As Mark sat in his classroom, he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. He couldn't help but notice that Rose, the most popular girl in school, was staring at him with an intense gaze. He couldn't quite place what it was, but something about the way she looked at him made him feel uneasy.

Despite his reservations, Mark was surprised when Rose approached him during lunchtime and asked him to meet her on the rooftop after class. He couldn't believe that the girl he had been secretly crushing on for years was actually interested in him.

But as news of their meeting spread like wildfire throughout the school, Mark couldn't help but wonder what could be the reason behind Rose's sudden interest in him. Was she just using him to get to someone else? Or was there something more sinister at play? Mark couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to this encounter than meets the eye, and he knew he had to be careful.

Mark sat in his chair, trying to process the sudden turn of events. Could it be that Rose had feelings for him? He couldn't shake the feeling that something was off about the entire situation. As the final bell rang, Mark made his way to the rooftop, trying to keep his emotions in check. When he arrived, he found Rose waiting for him, a calm and collected expression on her face. Mark approached her cautiously, not knowing what to expect. "Mark, I need to speak with you about something important," Rose said, her voice low and serious.

Suddenly, without warning, Rose attacked Mark with a quick punch to the gut. He doubled over in pain, struggling to catch his breath. "What the hell was that for?!" he gasped, anger and confusion mixing in his voice. "I had to test you, to see if you truly were a monster. And you passed. You have strength and endurance beyond that of a normal human," Rose explained, a hint of pride in her voice. "I can't believe you just attacked me like that!" Mark exclaimed, still trying to catch his breath. "I'm sorry, Mark. I had to be sure. I couldn't risk letting anyone else find out about your true nature," Rose said, a sincere apology in her voice. "I understand, but that doesn't make it okay. You could have seriously hurt me," Mark replied, still feeling the sting of the punch. "I'm sorry, Mark. Please, let's just move past this and work together to keep your secret safe," Rose begged, her eyes pleading with him. Mark let out a deep sigh, still feeling the pain of the punch. "Fine, let's just move on. But don't you ever attack me like that again," he said, his voice stern but forgiving.
