Chapter 51: ( THE LAND OF WAVES PART-22 ) RETURNING BACK AND TEASING SASUKE
spotting Naruto (who was now in his normal form) and his group, the group of villagers which was being led by Akito approach them.
Akito: Kakashi-san are you guys alright?
Kakashi: yes we are fine.
Akito: what happened here, we heard a loud explosion?
hearing Akito's question naruto thought for a while and answered.
Naruto: well after you told us that Sakura was following zouri and waraji, so in order to catch up we hurriedly followed their steps and fortunately just as Sakura was about to be attacked by zouri we reached her, after that Sasuke fought zouri and I fought a person by the name Takafumi, after a heated battle we were able to defeat them but before I could give Takafumi the last killing blow, he detonated himself with a detonation seal, which caused a huge explosion and if I am not wrong that might be the explosion you guys heard.
when Naruto mentioned the name Takafumi, the group of villagers shuddered and a their back went cold. seeing their expression Naruto was a little surprised and ask.
Naruto: Akito-san is everything alright.
Akito: Naruto-san you just said that you killed Takafumi, the leader of mountain wolf bandits.
Naruto: Oh! mountain wolf bandits huh! you know anything about them.
Akito: yes, in the land of waves they are the biggest bandit group who works under gatou, they have around 50-60 members in their band, each having power level equal to that of ninja. before gatou's arrival the mountain wolf bandits was just a group of petty thieves, but after gatou took control of their gang they became more powerful, out of nowhere strong men starts to join the bandits, after they were powerful enough to terrorise this land they start doing drug dealing, killing and kidnapping ...
just as the kidnapping left Akito's mouth his expression became grave and he asks Naruto in a hurried voice.
Akito: Naruto-san since you already killed their leader, can you help us in finding the children which were abducted by them during past couple of months.
Akito look at Naruto with an expectant look.
hearing Akito talking about the kids a smile appear on the trio's face, seeing this a confused look appear on Akito's face and he ask.
Akito: Naruto-san.
Naruto: ah! yes well, to be honest, we have already killed the rest of the bandits and have saved those kids.
hearing this Akito was surprised and ask.
Akito: WHAT! you have already saved those kids, where are they.
just as these words left his mouth there was a big commotion in the forest behind the trio, and after a moment a group of shadow clones appear each carrying a kid in their hands of around 5-6 years old.
seeing this a shocked look appear on the villagers faces and within a moment they ignored the trio and ran toward the kids, Akito was no exception, tears were flowing from his eyes and he rushed toward a girl, this girl was the one who woke up during Naruto's treatment, he hurriedly took her from Naruto's shadow clone and...
Akito: Ayame wake up, look it is your father.

Ayame slowly opens her eyes and look at her father while tears were flowing from her eyes.

hearing her calling him and after confirming that she was not injured Akito hugged her tightly while sobbing.
the same thing was happening with other kids as well.

they finally calmed down, Akito approached the trio and said.
Akito: Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi-san we will never forget the things you have done for this village.
Naruto smiled and said.
Naruto: Akito-san it is fine, you don't need to be this formal.
hearing naruto, Akito knew that Naruto was being modest, but he respected his choice an did not say anything else.
after all this they start moving toward the village.

after returning, the whole village was celebrating that because the children who were kidnapped now have returned safely back to the village. their happiness became double when they found out that the mountain wolf bandits were no more.
Naruto: Akito-san, we are very tired and are in urgent need of some rest.
Akito: ah! yes, for the next couple of days please take it easy.
the trio smiled and Naruto said.
Naruto: Akito-san since gatou's men have been removed from the roots the village should be safe and since the village will not be attacked anymore, I want you to take care of the food distribution process.
hearing Naruto Akito nodded happily and left.
after all this, the trio returned to tazuna's house.

the trio entered and found tsunami (Tazuna's daughter) helping unconscious Sakura with her wounds, seeing that sakura was still unconscious the trio approached her.
Naruto: Tsunami-san, let me see.
hearing Naruto she stood up and took a couple of steps back.
naruto approached sakura, after analyzing her condition, he raised his hand, suddenly orange flames appear on it, partially covering it, seeing the sudden transformation tsunami was shocked, naruto put his hand on Sakura head and the wounds on her body starts to heal and after a couple of moments Sakura opens her eyes and said meekly.
seeing sakura opening her eyes, sasuke sighed in relief and he came by her side.
Sakura: hmm. where am I?
Sasuke: you are in the village, in Tazuna's house.
Sakura: but what about those bandits.
Sasuke: you do not need to worry about them, Naruto and I took care of them.
Sakura: What you fought them but they were crazily strong, are you guys alright.
Naruto: we are completely fine, you do not need to worry.
hearing Naruto Sakura sighed in relief, then suddenly a thought appears in her heart and a gloomy expression appear on her face and she look down.
seeing this a frown appear on Sasuke's and he ask.
Sasuke: what happened?
Sakura: I am sorry!
hearing this both Naruto and Sasuke were confused and a frown appears on Kakashi's face.
Naruto: what are you sorry for.
Sakura: for being weak.
Naruto: what do you mean.
Sakura looks up and answered.
Sakura: it has always been the two of you, who are fighting the enemies and on the other hand I am always standing behind you guys. I know that I am not strong enough to fight them but I still wanted to catch up with you guys, so when I saw zouri and waraji running away from you two, I thought this is the chance which I have been waiting for and thought that if I can kill them I will be able to catch up with you guys. but I was wrong, I was not strong enough to kill them both and because of this, you guys had to put your life at risk.
she ended while sniffing, hearing her Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi sighed.
Naruto: Sakura it is fine, it was not your fault, Sasuke and I have been training for years for the situations like this and you have just started your true training, so do not blame yourself for being weak. because in the beginning, everyone is weak and only by hard work they can overcome their weakness and became the person they want to be.
hearing Naruto Sakura relaxed a little and just as she was about to ask when they can start their training she felt a hand on her shoulder. she looked up and found that unknowingly Sasuke has placed his hand on her shoulder in order to comfort her. she stared right into Sasuke's eyes and for a moment the time stopped for the two of them.
after a moment a slight blush appears on Sasuke face and he retracts his hand while on the other hand, Sakura was completely red. seeing this an evil smirk appeared on Naruto's face and he said.
Naruto: so Sakura do you know what Sasuke said to the man who attacked you when we were fighting.
hearing this Sasuke became a little pale and a curious expression appear on Sakura's face and she ask.
Sakura: what did Sasuke-Kun said?
Naruto took a dramatic pose and said while imitating Sasuke's voice.
Naruto: you dared to attack sakura, I will kill you for that.
Sakura: What! did Sasuke-Kun really said something like this
hearing that Sasuke wanted to kill them because they harmed her a warm feeling appear in her heart and just as she was about to ask for the details, Sasuke shouted.
Sasuke: NARUTO!!!!
Sasuke shouted toward Naruto hoping that he would shut his fuck up, but reality has always been cruel.
seeing that Sasuke was just threatening him and was not attacking his smirk became deeper and he said.
Naruto: OH! and sakura, do you remember when Sasuke hugged you.
Sakura: W...WHAT when did this happened. (she asked in an excited voice)

Naruto was not able to complete his sentence, as he saw Sasuke running toward him with his fingers clenched, seeing this Naruto knew that the time to run has come, so he hurriedly stood up and disappeared from Tazuna's house.
Sasuke: WHERE! do you think you are going.

seeing their behaviour Sakura giggled, she was completely relaxed by now.
