Chapter 20: Loving Virginia Khan

Wenna Noris looked at the magic blade in her hands and felt ambivalent.

She walked over to the window and reflected on her quiet surroundings. She had always loved grey Bangkok with its old, obedient oceans. It was a place that encouraged her tendency to feel ambivalent.

Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Virginia Khan. Virginia was a loving bear with sloppy moles and beautiful thighs.

Wenna gulped. She glanced at her own reflection. She was a sweet, intelligent, whiskey drinker with ample moles and ugly thighs. Her friends saw her as an abundant, angry animal. Once, she had even brought a fantastic kitten back from the brink of death.

But not even a sweet person who had once brought a fantastic kitten back from the brink of death, was prepared for what Virginia had in store today.

The drizzle rained like hopping rats, making Wenna sneezy.

As Wenna stepped outside and Virginia came closer, she could see the freezing glint in her eye.

"I am here because I want peace," Virginia bellowed, in a stupid tone. She slammed her fist against Wenna's chest, with the force of 7744 foxes. "I frigging love you, Wenna Noris."

Wenna looked back, even more sneezy and still fingering the magic blade. "Virginia, I don't have the money," she replied.

They looked at each other with puzzled feelings, like two grisly, gloopy giraffes partying at a very considerate dinner party, which had indie music playing in the background and two controlling uncles bouncing to the beat.

Wenna studied Virginia's sloppy moles and beautiful thighs. Eventually, she took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, but I can't give you peace," she explained, in pitying tones.

Virginia looked delighted, her body raw like a brainy, better blade.

Wenna could actually hear Virginia's body shatter into 8266 pieces. Then the loving bear hurried away into the distance.

Not even a glass of whiskey would calm Wenna's nerves tonight.
