Chapter 2: Enter the Party
Her long black hair flows over her shoulders and down to her waist as she steps out with her new clothes on the street outside the mall. Yun Feng looks upon the screens showing ads for beauty products and takes notice of the time and date in one of their corners.
Friday 14th June 2016 2:36 am.
She had come back only about ten days after her previous self's death. Good, then there should still be some details left of the circumstances of her death.
But first Yun Feng wants to create a place for her current self. For that, she will dress up nicely and sneak into a rich man's party in some hotel. If she succeeds in attracting someone's attention there definitely is a chance to get sponsored. As for unspeakable business, of course Yun Feng would never do it and with her abilities she didn't have to worry about anyone forcing her either. Luckily she managed to have something that could pass as a modern expensive looking dress from the other world, which she has in her space ring, so she doesn't need to steal a dress.
As for which party and where… if Yun Feng remembers correctly she was going to attend a party for the Long Corporation in her past life. They had some successful deal with the military and so she was one of the people from the military who was chosen to attend.
But Yun Feng died ten days before, well, at least now she won't miss it now that she was back. Even though it will not be with her old appearance she will still go to it in the end. After all, she needs to get a sponsor so she has a good reason. Yun Feng doesn't hope to get the CEO of Long Corporation to sponsor her, that would be to try to look too high. If anything it would be the CEO of one of the smaller companies that cooperate with Long Corporation.
The party wouldn't start until 6 pm later that day and be held at Sun City Seaside Hotel, one of the three biggest hotels in the city which are about a 40 minutes walk from her location so she has plenty of time to explore around the city. With her cultivation, Yung Feng didn't need to sleep or eat as much and often as others so she didn't take that to much consideration as she leisurely walked through the familiar streets. As she also has makeup in the space ring, when the time nears for the party to start she just needs to enter a bathroom to put it and her dress on.
Even though over 100 years have passed for her, here it has only been 10 days so almost nothing has changed. She can easily remember how she had taken a break in that cafe or walked on that street as she walked by the familiar sceneries one by one.
Because Yun Feng lived Sun City for 6 years in her past life she could easily navigate through the city without a map. Since she had no money, and thereby no phone her memories made it all the more convenient.
As she reaches the Sun City Seaside hotel in the evening Yun Feng directly enters its public bathroom and enters a cubicle to change into her dress. The dress of choice is a white dress with a two-layered fabric skirt and a simple tank top looking top. She puts her top, jeans, and sneakers into the space ring and takes out her makeup kit.
The fished result gave her a bit of a delicate look, neither like a white lotus or a sexy look but just a simple delicate look that was further enhanced by the aura she received in her cultivation.
Even if she does give out such attention-seeking aura, Yun Feng can just use some presence concealing techniques to hide it and easily sneak into the party. Since Yun Feng has a completely different body from her past life she, of course, doesn't have her invitation and thereby has to sneak in.
Besides even if she had it there is no guarantee she would be let in with it. After all, she was supposed to be dead.
The party is located inside a large open ballroom especially made for high society parties. Its style is alike old European ballrooms, the ones that are in palaces and castles, but with a more contemporary touch. Not too many ornaments on the walls and one single one-meter diameter chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
Over the windows hangs royal blue curtains and the wall color is mostly white with the few decorative patterns on them also being royal blue. As one enters the room from the second floor and the ballroom itself is on the first floor there are two stairs going down and joining halfway down. These stairs and the ballroom floor is dressed in a royal blue carpet.
The whole ballroom is mostly decorated in the colors of royal blue and white. Beneath the stairs to the left side is a long table filled with small delicacies and on the right side are some small tables and chairs where one can sit and enjoy these delicacies. In the center of the hall is the dance floor while in the far end is where the musicians are placed together with a platform and a microphone.
When Yun Feng entered the ballroom it was already more than half full of people. Some which were familiar to her and some which were not. But the main organizer for this party, the CEO of Long Corporation, Long Xiaogun, had yet to arrive. He would probably arrive later after everyone else.

Sakuraid Note that I have updated Chapter 1 a little.
I first wrote the whole chapter using only "she" lol. Only realized that after I was almost done and had to then look through the chapter to look after suitable places to exchange "she" with "Yun Feng". Since we only had our main lead in the story thus far I can consider it as a reasonable mistake.
