Chapter 22: Embarked On A New Journey
One can never be cautious enough in Seraphim. When I was ready, I put my Uncle and Eric in charge of the kingdom until my safe return. Secretly I did make a will too, in order to make Eric crowned if something happened to me during this venture. I mean nobody knows what is going to happen in the future, we can only hope with our fingers crossed. With this, I bid goodbye to my family secretly so that my departure won't be noticed by others. You might be thinking about how it will remain a secret when I, their Queen is missing.
Well, we kind of have a royal immunity that means when the royals need self-time they can put someone else in charge and do something else for example like a paid vacation. My ancestors used to take a lot of advantage of this royal immunity and I bet the civilians are used to it too.
It was dark when I left my kingdom. I was wearing something casual that many commoners would wear on a working day and with a bit of make-up, nobody would be able to identify that I'm a royal. I took the help of a kind woman who was passing by with her carriage to travel to the borders of Seraphim.
On the way, she offered me mimps and a blanket to sleep. That was the first time I have ever tasted mimps (they are actually a type of dish only the commoners used to eat) and when I ate it at first it was like bam....bam...bam...like sweet fireworks happening inside my mouth. I liked it..... No, I really really loved it! This was definitely going to be on the Queen's menu when I return back!.... The kind lady found it funny when I accidentally ate her share of mimps too. It was kind of embarrassing at first but she was really funny and kept me company till the end of the journey. I wish I really have a chance to meet her again and with that when it was midnight ...I sneaked into the territory of Astaroth... Bless me oh Lord, please don't let that demon find me out!
