Synopsis
The great old city of Hermes is now sparsely populated. Its walls still blocking the space between the mountains from the demonic beasts.. And without the relic in the ruined cathedral, the demons have shifted their focus to the west and the city of Neverwinter.
"Wendy/Gretchen" is one of the many young women in the convent in the old city, surviving the brutal winter at Hermes, in the months of demons.

This fanfiction was written for the Release That Witch Fan contest. With knowledge of the story up to about chapter 950. The Story answers the question of what happens to Hermes during the months of demons after its been 'annexed' by King Roland. The garrison from the mountain pass is all that remains of the first army. The rest of which were called back to deal with the demon war back home in Neverwinter, and the solitary witch remaining is a support witch. So what happens if a witch awakens in the snowy north during their time of need.
